And here’s the trip to that quaint yet historical town that I’ve mentioned before we had that impromptu trip to the lake. I think this post is way long overdue, huh? As usual, I’ve just been so caught up with a lot of things. With summer here, I guess you kind of understand. We went to Marshall, North Carolina – a small town yet filled with history. My husband surely knows a lot about the history of his country. He had been wanting to visit the town which is located about thirty minutes from our city and that Memorial Day weekend was simply the perfect time. It was cloudy that day and a little cool. I think you can tell in the photos how cloudy it was. How I wish it was sunny and the photos would have been a little brighter.
The town’s court house. See my boys? I love seeing old structures like that. They’re definitely classic!
Yours truly. This was right across the court house, the center of the town. I was in front of a coffee shop which was closed because it was a Sunday. My son took this photo.
There’s the hubs. He was reading a historical snippet on the post in front of him. This is the house where his great-great-great grandfather shot the county sheriff.
A picture of a nice looking little town that I used to see in movies only.
An old gas pump and an old Gulf signage. The hubs was fascinated to see all those stuffs. And so was I.
A railroad track by the river. I so love taking stolen photos of my boys.
Went to a park at the other side of town and the little one had a blast.
The bridge that we crossed to go to the other side of the town. At the far right side of the bridge was a dam. The photo that I’ve taken of the dam wasn’t that good so I just didn’t include it.
That was such a nice “mini road trip,” as what hubby called it. Until our next road trip. Wherever it may be, only the hubs knows.
