Our unico hijo or only son celebrated his 12th birthday over the weekend and it was one of the reasons that made our March hectic like what I said in my March recap. And for his birthday, he only had one request when we asked him where he wanted to eat – anywhere for as long as there is calamari. If you remember, I did tell you about his love for calamari on my post why we love Japanese food.
Hubby searched and ended up with Red Lobster. We always go to a new restaurant every time we go out. The hubs and I had been to Red Lobster for a date night once, but since the little had not been there yet, that was where we took him.
One of the foods that the three of us would agree upon without question is seafood. I come from a tropical country where seafood is bountiful and comes fresh every single day. The husband didn’t grow up with a lot of seafood, but he loves seafood as well. Good thing my son’s friend that we invited to us join loves seafood too.
So here are the goodies that we filled our tummies with.
Crispy Calamari and Vegetables
Parrot Isle Jumbo Coconut Shrimp
Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream
I didn’t get to take photos of the kids’ foods because they were already gobbling before I could even grab my camera. 😉 My son had popcorn shrimp with fries and his friend had chicken fingers with fries. Both my son and I had pineapple juice for our drinks. Hubby and our son’s friend both had sweet tea. And we got free refills for all our drinks. Awesome!
A good night with good food for our good son. It gets no better than that! Oh, did I mention that he had a chocolate ice cream cake too? He didn’t get it from Red Lobster though. 😉

Red Lobster is one of my favorite restaurants to visit, I love everything from the salad, to the pina colada, to the main dishes. Last month I think my husband and I ended up doing 3-4 times alone.
Good to know, Roselyn. I haven’t tried their pina colada yet. 🙂
you know what, that cheesecake and vanilla ice cream are to die for…. It’s obvious I am a sweet tooth. And of course, the shrimp is also my favorite. Now am hungry and you are to blame… haha
LOL. I have a sweet tooth myself and just like you, shrimp is also one of my favorites.
I love seafood, too! Everything that you guys picked at Red Lobster looks delish. And, I think it’s awesome that they gave you free refill for your drinks. Belated happy birthday to your son 🙂
Free refills are always awesome. LOL. Thank you for the greetings, Russ. 🙂
Everything looks so amazing and delicious. I really love seafood, we try to eat it twice a week for health reasons. I’ve never had Crispy Calamari and Vegetables but I’d love to try it.
You should try it, Terri. It’s really good! 🙂
Yum! I’m not a seafood gal, my husband loves it though so u do go to red lobster with him the odd time. I enjoy their non seafood but he just loves loading up on it all. Those desserts? Yes please.
Those desserts are really to die for. Take it from a sweet tooth. 🙂
Lynndee – yummy photos of your dinner! I have great memories of going to Red Lobster as a teen with my friends and dates – I need to go again, definitely!!
You should, Donna. 🙂

It would be an awesome dinner for you then. 😉
I am a seafood fan. I’ll take that over cow or pig any day. I wish my family liked it as much as I did. Would make my life so much easier.
Good thing, all of us here love seafood. 🙂
I do love me some Red Lobster! It is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants of all time! I love their lobster tails!

I may be the only one–but I’ve never eaten at Red Lobster. We have one close by and your photos sure make the food look delicious.
You should go there and try. I think you will enjoy the food. 🙂
Red Lobster is a favorite of mine. The food is consistently good and I have rarely had a poor experience at one of their restaurants.
Good to know, Cherri. 🙂
I’m a huge fan of Red Lobster, and love going for their endless shrimp promo, and I have a lot of favorites on the menu overall. I have never tried calamari before, but am a huge fan of fried clams and shrimp.
I’m a huge fan of shrimps too. And my husband is a huge fan of clams. 🙂 You should try the calamari. It’s our son’s fave.
Thanks for sharing. I think I can go for some seafood right now. Maybe I’ll head over to red lobster.
Go ahead, Terry. Enjoy! 🙂
Red Lobster holds fond memories for me as it was my mom’s favorite restaurant. We would go there for the unlimited popcorn shrimp. Yummy!
Good to know, Kelly! 🙂

Mhmm, that crispy calamari and the brownie… those two are calling my name! Looks delicious.
Your blog is absolutely beautiful, btw. I love your banner. Mine needs serious work and wasn’t what I had wanted but, hey, it’s a work in progress 😛
It’s a work in progress here too. Been tweaking the blog almost everyday. 🙂 But thank you for the compliment about the banner, Alysia. You’re so sweet. 🙂
I could smell the garlic cheese bread from there! I love eating at Red Lobster!
Now that you mentioned, I could smell it too. 🙂
