It was a happy day for the hubs on one of his special days which is of course, Father’s Day. We spent most of our time at Biltmore Park Town Square, a shopping district here in Asheville, North Carolina. But we didn’t or he didn’t go shopping, okay? He did it the day before Father’s Day. 😉
One of the things that we did was eat at a Chinese restaurant called P.F. Chang’s. We did it at the end of the day when it was time to fill our tummies with dinner. There were a few restaurants to choose from, but as an Asian, Asian food appeals to me first more than anything. I love Chinese food. Good thing the hubs and the little one love Chinese food too so there was no problem with it.
A candlelit dinner on a sunny afternoon.

Sesame Chicken
The husband’s choice. He said it was a little spicy so since I don’t like spicy food, I only tasted the broccoli. It wasn’t spicy though, but I guess the chicken was.

Sweet and Sour Pork
This was delicious! And as usual, the serving was more than my tummy could handle. But my son was there to the rescue. He ate the rest. Good boy!

Kid’s Chicken
Well, this was too little for a growing boy like our son. I didn’t expect it to be so little like that. He has had a kid’s meal most of the time and that was perhaps the smallest serving for a kid that we’ve seen. But it was gone in a heartbeat. It must be good.

Brown Rice
All our meals came with brown rice and it took me by surprise when they served all our rice in a single bowl. It was cute though and besides, it came with a serving spoon. I was looking for fried rice, but they only serve it during lunch time.
Both the little one and I always order orange juice when we eat out. Unfortunately that day, they ran out of orange juice so, we opted for a glass of water instead. Not bad with that lemon in it.

The usual kiddie stuff with crayons. A little too silly for our big boy.

Yogi’s

Mine

Hubby’s
We always find it fun reading the fortune cookies after every meal. My son says I can be annoying at times so he chuckled when he read what was written on his fortune cookie. Perfect, eh? LOL. I truly agree with what was written in mine. Don’t you agree too? With hubby’s, he can be really cheerful at times and then grumpy the next. Just kidding, hubs! 🙂
All in all, it was a good dinner. I like the atmosphere of P.F. Chang’s. The decor looks fancy and it was perhaps the fanciest Chinese restaurant that we have been to minus the fancy price.
I have only eaten at a PF Chang’s once (because we don’t have any really close to us) and I loved it. Whenever I see one in my travels, I want to eat there again.
PF Chang’s is delicious. We love to go there. I’ve never thought of doing Father’s Day there, though. Maybe next year!
I got the most bizarre fortune in a cookie a couple of weeks ago, but I cannot remember it! ARGH! I love love love Chinese food! We’ve got an amazing buffet here that we like to frequent since it is almost cheaper than take out! It looks like you guys had a great meal even without the orange juice 🙂
I love all of those dishes! Sesame Chicken is my absolute favourite. PF Chang’s looks so fresh and delicious! What a yummy way to celebrate Dad.
This looks like a great place to eat Chinese. I love the fortunes you received. It looks like you had a perfect Father’s Day outing.
I just love Chinese food so much! I know there is one in my state but I will have to look for it now since your photos look so tempting.
That sesme chicken is speaking to me so loudly, lol. Sounds like a yummy9 celebration sis.
My dad loves P.F. Chang’s! I should have thought to take him there for Father’s Day!
P.F. Changs is such a fun family restaurant to go to. Great Father’s Day idea! I always opt for a spicy dish!
Looks like you had an amazing Father’s Day meal! We don’t have PF Chang’s in Canada (that I know of) but I have heard great things!
All of those dishes look so good! I wish there was a P.F. Chang’s near me! My husband and I would be frequent visitors, I’m sure.
It has been a whole since I have had PG Changs. I don’t end up eating a ton of Chinese food because it’s not my husband’s favorite. I love it though. My favorite dish is Orange Chicken.
I love Chinese food and all those food in the photos look delicious. I love Fortune cookies, too.
I haven’t eaten at P F Chang’s in a while. Thanks for reminding me that I need to go back. I’ve always liked to eat there in the past.
Chinese food is my absolute favorite. We dont have PF Changs here but if we did, it looks so delicious. Looks like a great time!
I LOVE PF Changs and i haven’t been in forever. What a great idea to go for fathers day. Great post!!
I love P.F. Chang’s but I’ve not been in a really long time. I’m going to put it on my things to do list really soon. I love Chinese food too.
I love this place!!! I think it’s a great place to go for a first date because it kind of breaks the ice since you’re around so many other people!
I wish there was a P.F. Chang’s in my area. I really love their food.
That sesame chicken looks so good! Glad you had a good Father’s Day… Good Food always makes things better. LOL 😉
I wish I had one in my town. It is one of my favorite restaurants. So good and so many menu options.
I know a few people who like PF Changs. I think I will have to check them out myself now here soon too.
I’ve never eaten at PF Changs! But this post totally makes me want to. I wonder if there is one close by?
Yum, I’ve wanted to visit this restaurant – on my to-do list!
PF Changs is one of my favorite asian/fusion restaurants. I love their lettuce wraps for the appetizer.
I’ve never been to a PF Changs. I’ve always bought the stuff from the freezer aisle that is from their brand. It’s pretty good, imho.
Everything looks so good. I would love to eat there! The fortune cookies are my favorite part.
I love P.F. Changs! I dont think my dad’s ever been…I need to personally take him one day!
This looks so good it is making me hungry. I love the fortune cookiies. Always fun, don’t you think?
