I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!
Yup, Christmas is over, but the spirit of the season is still in full blast. That said, I want to share our very first gingerbread tree that I created before Christmas out of a kit that we bought at the store.
We’ve created a Gingerbread House before and it was never in my plan to create a gingerbread until I stumbled upon the Gingerbread Christmas Tree kit at the store. We were at the store for a different reason, and honestly, that was the first time that I’ve seen a Gingerbread Christmas Tree kit. Both me and my son got giddy with excitement upon seeing it, so I immediately grabbed a box.
It was much easier to create compared to the Gingerbread House yet I had as much fun creating it like I had creating the Gingerbread House. I thought my son would help me, but he just enjoyed himself watching me. He thinks creating one is a girly thing. 🙂
How’s that? Not too bad for our first Gingerbread Christmas Tree, I guess.
I love looking at our Gingerbread Christmas Tree on top of the side table right beside our Christmas tree in the living room. It certainly looks like a miniature of our Christmas tree and it is joyful to see two trees in there. I think I’m sounding like a little girl excited about having done and completed a new project. 🙂
Maybe next time, I could create a Gingerbread Christmas Tree from scratch. I think it would be fun. I do wonder how easy or hard it is to make one baking from scratch. I am definitely going to do some researching about that. But I am not going to do it just yet. There’s still 361 days until Christmas 2016 so, I have a lot of time to prepare myself for it. 😉
Have you created a Gingerbread Christmas Tree out of a kit or from scratch?

Thank you, Jasmine. I hope you will be able to do it next year. 🙂
What a cute idea! I want to make one next year – it seems so much easier than making a house 🙂
Robin, it definitely was much easier than creating a house. 🙂
I saw this on Google+ – I think it is totally adorable and your images are great! We made a gingerbread house for the first time this year and it was a pain. Next year, I am trying this instead 🙂
Thank you, Kelli. You should try it next year. 🙂
What a cute idea! We did gingerbread houses this year but both my kids were asking for something different. I think I’ll have to add this to our list to try next year. It’s absolutely adorable.
I’m trying this next year. It looks absolutely gorgeous, and it seems easy enough to make.
OMG this is freaking adorable, Christmas is now in the rear view but I want to try this.
Wow, that turned out really pretty! I wish I had picked up a gingerbread Christmas Tree kit this year.
This is so cute! What a fun and festive way to include some homemade gingerbread into decorating! A great project for next year!
A Gingerbread tree is such a cute idea. I will have to try making one like this. I hope mine turns out as nice as yours.
WOW you are so talented! These are just adorable. Thanks for sharing.
That looks so pretty! We are not fond off ginger bread so we never really make any.
This is an awesome idea for instead of a gingerbread house or you could make both too. I love the idea of making a gingerbread Christmas tree from scratch and it is something I will have to do with my niece’s kids.
I think that a gingerbread christmas tree would be a lot easier to do than a house! This is a great idea!!
Wow! I love the way that turned out. And you are so right, it does look easier than doing a Gingerbread House.
This looks delicious! I love how it turned out. My girls would have fun making one of these. It looks pretty simple to make to. I’ll have to remember to make this during the holidays next year.
Gingerbread is so much fun! I remember making a gingerbread house with the kids when they were little, we had a blast then it fell apart. lol
Your Christmas tree turned out so good! I would love to make one of these again. Good job girl!
Omg what a cute gingerbread tree!!!! I might be able to make on of these! I totally suck at making houses lol….
I’ve never made a gingerbread Christmas tree or a gingerbread house for that matter, but I’d love to. Maybe next year! 🙂
I don’t eat Gingerbread so I never get to enjoy this tradition. I like looking at them and taking pictures though! 🙂
