Hope you all had a great weekend!
It was a little busy for us here because spring soccer has finally began! Soccer is already a big part of our lives and we always look forward to the start of every season, whether spring or fall. Hubby wrote about Soccer’s Solid Impact on our Son before. This is our son’s third year in soccer and his 6th season to be exact. And for the first time ever, he’s got a new coach. He had the same coach for the previous five seasons whom we loved a lot because he was such a great coach. We were anxious upon knowing he is going to get a new coach, but as soon as we met him on their first practice, we knew right then our son is going to be in good hands. He’s got another great coach and we’re so happy about that!
For the first time too after being in soccer for five seasons, we had a new location for our soccer practices that happen twice a week. I just love the new location because aside from the fact that it has a way better soccer field for them to practice, it also has great views. Can you see those mountains? Beautiful, right?
We had our first game last Saturday and although they lost, the most important thing is they had fun. And it was such a gorgeous day for their first soccer game. Can you tell in the photo? Spring is definitely in the air!
On a side note, I thought of sharing this photo with you. This tree is located at the soccer field where we had their practice. I don’t know what kind of tree this is but it is absolutely gorgeous even though it is totally bald. Agree? I shared this photo on Instagram with a lovely quote that I found online that goes:
“Trees are love.
Trees are life.
Long-standing hearts of nature.
Absorbers of human strife.”
~ Terri Guillemets
How was your weekend? Hope your week is off to a great start!
How funny – around here there is no such thing as spring soccer. We only have leagues in the fall.
Oh, that’s interesting. Well, thanks for sharing, Robin. I didn’t know that about Boston. 🙂
Spring EVERYTHING is starting soon. I love it! Winter is almost over! WOOOOO!
I love spring. And soccer season. I am a pee wee coach for soccer and I love the start of the season. It’s so much fun!
So excited! Not for soccer season (though I can be excited for you guys a little) but mostly because that means better weather and SPRING! YAY!
I can’t believe it’s already time for soccer to start! I live in Asheville too and I’ll say, where we practice doesn’t have nearly as pretty of a view!
Spring has definitely sprung around here! Our lil man is getting ready for soccer and baseball to start this week.
This is a great tree photo. I am excited to watch the kids play soccer this year.
What a pretty view! I am sure you are all so excited about spring. Back here, summer is right around the corner.
My husband grew up playing soccer and I am so happy and proud to know be a soccer mom. Not going to lie, my boys are naturals, especially my younger one, and I can’t wait to see the athletes they become.
What a great time to get outdoors1 We are enjoying baseball this spring, but definitely soccer in the fall
Our family had a pretty good weekend. My daughters and I went out to sell some Girl Scout cookies around the neighborhood. They had a lot of fun with that…and also I’m excited for Spring too! My youngest wants to join Soccer when she’s able to. I’m hoping this fall she’ll be old enough to join.
My son’s school is very slow in starting Spring sports. They still don’t have anything going on… Glad to see it started for you!!
Oooooo how fun!!!!! I played soccer as a kid! Can’t wait for my daughter to be old enough to play in the fall!
We love soccer too and my son plays. My daughter asks to play after her dance season is over. We’ll see how she likes it.
Glad your son is enjoying his seasons!
And indeed that is a beautiful tree, bald or not!
Yaaaa for Soccer! =) That’s awesome that your whole family is into Soccer.
My son loves soccer, so I’ve been thinking about having him be part of something like this. It would be a great experience for him!
Spring is starting by you and we going into autumn now. At the moment its cold and rainy but I love it. Working from my bed today. 😛
It looks like your kids really enjoy playing soccer. I agree, that tree is beautiful. I bet it looks great in the fall!
Soccer sounds fun. My kids hasn’t try it out yet but hopefully they will.
What a coincidence! I just signed my girls up! My oldest actually plays for a league in our town.
