Happy Monday!
I hope all you moms out there had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I had such a wonderful Mother’s Day celebration with my boys – namely, my husband and my son. They always make sure that Mother’s Day is extra-special for me and as always, they did not disappoint. I think I will have to give these two an award for being so good at it. 😉
Mother’s Day started as early as Friday for me. I shared this photo on Instagram that day where it felt so much like winter. It was chilly at 59 degrees, but the wind was blowing so there was the wind chill factor. But it didn’t stop the hubs and I from going out and about and do a little shopping for Mother’s Day; this photo is the mini-mall we went to. And that’s already after a gift bag for me was sitting in front of the fire place. Apparently, the hubs wasn’t done shopping for me yet. 🙂
Saturday was spent shopping for the home and running errands. Then on Sunday, I was so excited to open my surprises. This card was inside the gift bag. I was so excited that I forgot to snap a photo of the gift bag. Would be nice to give you an idea of how the hubs prepared it. And I’m totally HAPPY of the things that he got me. He’s becoming such a good shopper now – something that he didn’t like doing before he met me. He’s a good learner, you know? 😉
How cute is that card? Both the hubs and I can be really sappy when it comes to cards, but we both love giving funny cards as well.
Then we went to dinner at O’ Charley’s at around 6:00 o’clock. It was our first time to sample their food because like I’ve mentioned before, we always try to check a new restaurant out whenever we go out for dinner. The place was packed as expected, but at least we got there at a perfect time when there was not a mile long queue yet. This was our starter – Fried Green Tomatoes! Really yummy! And our entrees did not disappoint either. I totally enjoyed mine and both the hubs and our son enjoyed their choices as well.
How was your Mother’s Day weekend?

It sounds like you had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend! I’ve never had fried green tomatoes so seeing this made me think of that movie. My Mother’s Day was great – brunch with friends, blueberry picking and then wine tasting! A little bit of everything I love!

I had a great weekend. We ended up cleaning up our house. It was time to declutter and deep clean. It had been so long since it has been done because of my back. My husband even told me that I didn’t have to clean on Sunday but I just wanted to get it done. It feels so much better.
