Happy Food Trip Friday!
It’s the season for berries, but the hubs who loves berries, especially blackberries, didn’t think about creating this quick blackberry cobbler dessert until recently when he saw the blackberries that I bought for another recipe. After I tasted it, I was like…”What took you forever?!”
Using his mom’s recipe which is actually for any kind of fruit quick cobbler, he created this oh-so-yummy blackberry cobbler a couple of days ago. We all have sweet tooth over here and that said, this dessert was gone in a heartbeat. And he was the one who ate the most. Ya gotta share, Honey!
Don’t you just love quick to prepare dishes? My husband’s mom or my late MIL was a good cook and had a collection of recipes, hand-written recipes to be precise. My husband kept her recipes all though these years. I’ve shared some of her dessert recipes here before like Brownies and Peanut Butter Brownies and even her Slow Cooker Chili and Meatloaf recipes. Trust me, they’re all good and I am not being biased about that. I’m sure his mom would be happy to know that her wonderful culinary legacy has been carried forward.
The house smelled so good while this cobbler was cooking in the oven. And it’s as delicious as it looks!
Put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top while the cobbler is still warm and you’ve got you two desserts in one. This dessert melts in your mouth, by the way. And here’s the recipe for you to try,

Try it yourself and I hope you will enjoy it as much as we did. Now I’m off to tell the hubs again to make us another one. It would be the perfect dessert for this gloomy and rainy day – warm and sweet.
Have a great weekend!

This looks delicious. I made some a few weeks back. Yours looks like it has more crust to it though (the best part!)

Ahhh, that looks divine! We don’t do much of the cobblers here in PH but that is something that I would love to try. Although I think I won’t be able to find blackberries in any of the supermarkets here.

Yummy, my mouth is watering now. I haven’t had blackberry cobbler but I do remember my grandmothers peach cobbler.
