Happy National Pumpkin Day!
Fall equals pumpkins so after learning that today is National Pumpkin Day, I thought of rounding up the fun fall activities and event that we’ve been to and have experienced here in our city of Asheville, NC, and the surrounding areas .
We are lucky to be living in a place where there is always events and fun activities to go to and enjoy the whole year through. But although summer is full of fun things to do too, there is nothing like having fun with family while totally enjoying the lovely crisp and cool air and the smell of the autumn breeze. And that’s exactly why I love fall.
ART IN AUTUMN (Weaverville, NC)
The town of Weaverville is located about 10 miles north of Asheville. Art in Autumn is an annual event where they showcase arts and crafts from different vendors. Such an awesome display of creativity in this event.
ELIADA CORN MAZE (Asheville, NC)
ELIADA is a charitable organization so the proceeds from this fall activity go to a great cause. This place not only boasts of the biggest corn maze in North Carolina, they also have other fun things to do for the whole family to enjoy, especially the kids. Lots of ’em!
PUMPKIN PATCH AND MORE (Hendersonville, NC)
Hendersonville is located more or less 30 miles south of Asheville. The town is one of the biggest producers of apples in the country. Take Route 64 and there you would see different farms with apple orchards and pumpkin patches where you can pick your own apples or pumpkins. That was the second time that we’ve visited Grandad’s Apple N’ Such and that’s because the place has it all. From apple orchard to pumpkin patch and corn maze to barn animals, etc.
How about you? What are the fun fall activities and events do you have in your area?
I miss the days of corn mazes and fall fun. My kids are now young adults and in college and looking back, we really enjoyed our family outings visiting a farm.
It sounds like you are taking full advantage of the season and fun things to do. I still haven’t made it to the pumpkin farm yet to pet the animals but I am hoping to get out there this weekend before it is too late.
Fall is my favorite time of year. There’s so much to see and do! Between crafts and pumpkin patches, it’s an autumn wonderland.
I love the fall. We always go to pumpkin patches and apple farms during the season. They’re great ways to make family memories and have some wholesome fun.
I would love to explore all those places! Where I live it doesn’t really get cold in the fall, but when I really want to enjoy it I go up north and get some crisp weather. I cannot wait to see some of the colors change and put on some long pants again.
These are great pictures! I’ve always wanted to take the kids to a corn maze.
Fall is my favourite time of year! I love the colours and the activities!! My kids and I go to corn mazes and pumpkin farms too!
Fall is my favorite time of year. Pumpkin Farms, Pumpkin pis=e, corn mazes, haunted houses. So many fun things to do with the kids.
I love fall because the leaves are so beautiful and the weather is nice. It is getting a lot colder now, but we do love going to corn mazes and doing fun things at the farms.
I love Fall. There certainly is a lot you can do in Fall. Pumpkin patches, apple farms, corn mazes and so much more. It’s a great time of year!
My youngest got to go to a pumpkin patch a few weeks ago with school. He enjoyed his trip. We have also gone to a local festival put on by the car dealership in the area for children. Then we will go trick or treating at church.
I love fall and going to the pumpkin patch and all things that you do in the fall!
