Nine more days until Christmas! Can you believe that? I know! I can’t believe it, either! It seems like the time leading up to Christmas has flown by!
Receiving Christmas cards is always a joy for me, but I’d never received many until I got here in the U.S. of A. And that’s because sending Christmas cards is not something that we do back home. So it never fails to delight me to receive them in the mail. Apparently, it’s a big deal here in the U.S.
The previous years, I sent New Year Cards to return the favor. But this year, I decided to create a Christmas card to send to my family and friends here in the U.S. and in the Philippines. Yup, this is our first family Christmas card ever!
And since it’s our first Christmas card, I decided to use the photo of our first Christmas here in the U.S. which was a white Christmas. Call that perfect and amazing! It was the first time me and Yogi had ever seen snow!
This photo was taken on Christmas Day of 2010. I remember it started snowing early that morning and before we knew it, the surroundings were already covered in white. And that was the heaviest we got that year. I surely didn’t expect that. I wasn’t praying for a white Christmas either, but it seemed like fate and destiny knew how to make our first Christmas here the perfect and the most special one and it gave us just that.
I will never ever forget that because that day will forever be in my memory. And you know what? That was it, we’ve never had another white Christmas since then. This year is our 7th Christmas here and looks like it’s not going to be white either.
Our son surely had a blast although it was cold.
I think I’ll just be singing the song..”I’m dreaming of a white Christmas…” from now until we get another one.
May you all have a wonderful holiday weekend and the merriest of Christmases!

I love your Christmas cards. Merry Christmas to you and your family too. Our family hasn’t done Christmas cards in forever. I used to have photos done with the kids for Christmas when they were little.
