Happy Food Trip Friday!

It was almost a month ago today when we took our holiday trip to New York City. We flew from Asheville Regional Airport to Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Then after a five hour layover,  off we flew to New York City.

We arrived late morning at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. We only had coffee and had hot chocolate for the little one before we left home, so we had our breakfast at the airport at this restaurant bar named Whisky River. We thought that it was just a bar at first, then figured out and found out later on that they actually serve breakfast.

Apparently, they also have live performances there too. It was in the morning so they probably just have the performances in the evening or late afternoon.

When there’s bacon on the plate, it has to be either the husband’s meal or the little one’s. And yes, they both ordered this same thing.

Juice for the little one, as usual.

My plate. I had sausage instead of bacon. Yum! Bacon doesn’t appeal to me anymore which is a good thing, I guess. 😉

My drink. I was amused the first time I saw it because it really looked like beer served in that glass. Even the husband said so. Don’t you think so too? I actually kidded the waitress that I’m going to have beer for breakfast! 🙂

That was how it looked like after our son poured in the cream. Now that looked like more like whisky now. LOL. Just kidding! Me and my coffee!

That was our first time at a Whisky River restaurant and we truly enjoyed our breakfast. I liked the ambiance of that restaurant too. They even have a wall full of signatures by famous people. Too bad my photo of that wall was blurry so I didn’t include it.
