Happy Food Trip Friday!
We celebrated Hubby’s nth birthday on Wednesday and today, I’m sharing all the goodness that we indulged ourselves with. If you are following me on Instagram, you already knew that because I’ve shared a photo of the hubs there as well as the dessert that me and my son chose. 🙂
We love checking out new restaurants – a place that we’ve never been to before. But this time, we went back to one of our favorite places. It’s actually the third time that we’ve been to this place. And we realized that night that in those three times, they were all birthday celebrations – mine, our son’s and then the latest which was the husband’s birthday. The restaurant is Longhorn Steakhouse.
THE BIRTHDAY SUNDAE
We told the waitress that it was hubby’s birthday and after a few minutes, she brought him this…a birthday sundae. But this was after we were done with our dinner. And of course, it was for free!
THE DRINKS
OJ it was once again for the little one and I and, as usual, hubby had his all-time favorite drink which is iced tea. No lemon please! 🙂
THE STARTERS
Sweet Chili Calamari. Both the hubs and the little one ordered this. No, they didn’t share one plate, they ordered one for each of them. Meaning, there were two plates of this on the table. That’s how much they love this. I love fried calamari too, but this was spicy and I’m not into spicy food.
Texas Tonion. Hubby ordered this as well.
My mixed green salad with thousand island dressing. This came with my entree.
THE ENTREES
The little one’s chicken wings. He loves wings! And the hotter, the better!
Flat Iron Steak with Rice Pilaf. My choice. So good!
THE DESSERT
Molten Lava Cake. Like I said on Instagram, this was as delicious as it looks! Like, really!
FINAL THOUGHTS
The western decor of this restaurant is really nice. And for sure, that will not be the last time that we’ll eat there. I love to check new places whenever we go out, but their food is just so good we all might be tempted again to eat there next time rather than checking a new place out. We’ll see. 🙂
It was a good night with good food for the hubs birthday! Here’s wishing him many, many more birthdays to celebrate! ♥

Happy Belated Birthday to the DH! I have not yet tried a Longhorn Steakhouse they are still a bit too far from us, but when I do I will try that Calamari first. What is that Tonion thing? I have never seen that one, I will have to try that too! 🙂
