Today marks the beginning of spring break around here. Just like the previous years, we are just going to spend our spring break in the city. We never go on a spring break vacation and always save it for the summertime. We already have a vacation planned for the summer, but we do make the most of this break and enjoy it as much as we can.
Our weather is going to be gorgeous this whole week with temps in the 70’s and the sun shining. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that it won’t change. And since this is our teenager son’s much-awaited, much-needed and much-deserved break, I asked him on what he wanted to do. So below is the agenda for this week. And I think the hubs and I will also continue our spring cleaning if we will be able to squeeze it in. 😉
EXPLORE A SMALL TOWN
I’ve blogged about Forest City before and we have a personal mission to continue doing there. We’ve been there a few times already, but we haven’t really explored that little town much because we didn’t have the time to do it before. We’ll have all the time now so we’re going to do just that.
WATCH A MOVIE
After watching Moana on pay-per-view the other night as per our teen’s request, he also wants to watch Power Rangers so we’ll be headed to the movie theater this week.
GO BOWLING
One of their activities in school is bowling. He enjoys it so much he asked if we could go bowling as family this week. It’s been years since the last time I went bowling so I thought, why not! And it’s one of those things that is so much fun for family especially that we’re all competitive. Let’s see who will bring home the bacon! 😉
VISIT A MUSEUM
There’s an antique car museum here in the city that we’ve never been to yet. I’ve been wanting to check it out but they’re closed in the wintertime up until March. But now that it’s April, this would be perfect week to go there.
ENJOY THE OUTDOORS
With the temps in the 70’s, it would be a waste of time so spend it indoors so we’re going to enjoy it to the fullest. I know other than soccer practice, our son would love to spend more of it at the soccer field working on his skills on his own. And, of course, the hubby has made it plain that he would love to hit the links for a round of golf, especially after watching the Masters all weekend.
What do you do for fun on spring break?

Where I live we have spring break a lot earlier so we’ve already passed spring break. But we are about to have a little four-day weekend and I think I want to do a couple of these ideas. We love the bowl.

These are all great ideas. We live on the outskirts of Atlanta, so when the weather gets warmer, we have so many things to choose from. We have the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside as well as a plethora of options in the city proper.

My son’s spring break vacation may over, but these are still fun ideas to try over the weekend! Especially exploring small towns, which is something that my family and I love to do.

“Spring Break” has already passed here, but our weather is finally spring like. We’ve been spending some time outdoors and plan on visiting a museum soon.

I love to visit museums in other towns. It is something my family really enjoys doing together. .

The outdoors always gets my vote but I think there is a lot to be said about visiting a small town. I love visiting their local cafes and stores.

Sounds like our spring breaks! We also go roller skating, or to open swim at the pool. I like to go out to eat with the kids because I don’t get that many chances to do so.

We like to go bowling as often as we can. It is a great family activity. Our local Alley has Glow in the Dark Rock A Bowl. These are great Spring break ideas.

These are all great things to do during spring break with the kids as a family. It is so important that the whole family enjoy at least one day of family fun during the spring break in my opinion. Bowling is something we always did during spring break. My family love bowling and we have always enjoyed it together as a family. Thanks for sharing the ideas.

My kids had spring break over a month ago. The boys got to go bowling one day but other than that it was pretty relaxing. I got a break from running the kids everywhere too.

One of my kids was on a school trip to Disney and Universal for our recent spring break. So, I took the other two kids and we had a fun week of staycation things to do.

We definitely did all of these things for Spring Break. My boys get so antsy so quick!

Our spring break was last week. We usually go on day trips but we had severe weather and tornado’s that kept us indoors.

It can be so warm here in Florida that sometimes the best spring break activities are indoors! Love the idea of going to the movies.
