If you missed it, our son celebrated his birthday recently and the hubs talked about it here on the blog. That night, we celebrated and took him to dinner. Just like last year, he wanted for us to take him to this restaurant named Longhorn Steakhouse which has become his favorite because of their sweet chili calamari. Thing is, they didn’t have the dish on their menu anymore. I do wonder why, but we didn’t ask.
Anyway, he still enjoyed his dinner and we even got to take home some to-go boxes because our eyes were bigger than our stomachs; the food was way too much for our tummies!
The husband and my son ordered a double of this chili cheese fries appetizer thinking the single order would not be enough for the both of them. And boy, were they ever surprised at how huge the order was so they had to take home the rest.
I had a bite of this french onion soup that the hubs ordered and it was so good that I checked for a recipe online to see what was in it. I’ll soon be attempting to recreate this dish for our at-home enjoyment.
Bedrock grilled shrimp – the dish that I always order when we go to this restaurant. This dish never gets old for me. That’s how much I love seafood. I chose asparagus and rice pilaf as sides.
Hubby’s spicy chicken bites.
There’s the birthday boy busy chatting with his friends while waiting for the food. 🙂
The birthday boy’s chosen meal – bacon cheeseburger. This is the kind of meal that he could eat every single day if we let him. LOL.
‘Twas definitely a fantastic fifteenth birthday feast and, I can’t believe how time flies and I already have a 15 year old boy.

We always like to let our kids enjoy their favorite meal out on their birthday. The hubs and I do the same for ours. He’s got a sophisticated taste for wanting calamari.
