The hubs always has a surprise from time to time. He can be really sneaky, and it never fails to delight me. I love surprises and when I say that, it can be anything. A gift, a trip, news, etc.
At the end of June, he popped up with a plan…a road trip on the 4th of July weekend. He’s got a three-day weekend since their company moved the July 4th holiday to a Friday. I was excited of course, as always.
So on that Saturday, July 6th, we went to Cherokee, NC. The town is located about an hour and a half from here. It is a historical site and is known for its American Indian heritage. It is actually an Indian Reservation and a favorite among tourists.
There were a lot of tourists when we got there checking stores that were selling native American Indian products. There was a lot to see and explore and I will tell you more about it next time. This is just the beginning.
