After seeing Currahee Mountain, it was time to go home. That’s what I thought because I wasn’t aware that my adventurous Hubby had something in mind.
Well, we were on our way home, but we didn’t go straight because Hubby wants us to see the Tallulah Gorge. It is located in a different town in Georgia and since it is only a few miles from the highway, he decided to drop by. Not to mention, he once visited the place with his mom, dad and brother when he was little. It was kind of a nostalgia trip for him.
It was already late in the afternoon when we reached the place and there were only a few people checking the place out.
This was at the overlook porch. I think I am afraid of heights because I find it pretty scary to look down the gorge. I don’t know how deep it is, but it is really deep.
Do you remember the Great Wallenda? I don’t but Hubby told me the story. He walked on a wire suspended 700 feet above over Tallulah Gorge. His stunt was shown in those photos on the wall. It would have been scary to watch it live.
The Gorge. Beautiful!
