I was going through our picture folders in our computer when I came across these photos of my son at the Botanical Gardens of Asheville. The place is close to our home, but it wasn’t the reason why we went there. We were invited to a funeral service for one of Hubby’s friends (sad reason but such is life).
Me and my son had just been here for like six months when it happened and I haven’t heard of the place yet. Since that time, we’ve passed by the place many times. So, I think even though we weren’t invited that day, we would have checked the place eventually.
I love checking places and see what they offer. If you are a nature and garden lover, this is the place to be. It was springtime so the place was all green and beautiful. I’ve seen flowers too but I had no idea what kinds they were so I didn’t really pay attention. Not to mention, I wasn’t into gardening that time yet.
I was a little scared that time though because I have a phobia with caterpillars and without a doubt, it is in this kind of places that you would see them. Fortunately for me, I didn’t see one. Hooray to that!
These big rocks were a real head turner. That’s my son with our neighbor’s daughter checking it out. They put a fence around it for protection. It would have been nice to sit on top of it. Don’t you think so?
The bridge to nowhere. Just kidding. There’s a little stream down below it and it is really nice. I do remember taking a photo of the stream but it is not in the picture folder anymore. I probably deleted it accidentally or it was misplaced in a different folder. I will continue my search later.
Isn’t that lovely? I know this photo would have been much lovelier if I used a DSLR camera. I only have my point and shoot. Hopefully soon, I will get me that much-desired DSLR. Wishy wish wish!
