And like the hubs always does, it was a surprise trip. Before the day of my birthday he told me we’re going on a trip. My birthday fell on a Saturday that year, 2012 to be exact, so it was totally perfect. It also falls in the late summer so it gets no better than that. The day was gorgeous and so was Lake Lure.
If you haven’t heard about it yet, some of the scenes from the movie ‘Dirty Dancing’ were filmed in Lake Lure. Remember those water scenes where they were practicing? Yup, that was in Lake Lure. I didn’t know about it until the hubs told me.

We had our lunch here at this seafood restaurant. We all love seafood.
While waiting for our order, my boys played billiards. Hubby was teaching the little one how to play. I enjoyed watching them and I made sure I took snap shots for remembrance.
Sharing these photos of that wonderful trip is making me nostalgic. That was such a HAPPY birthday for me. Thanks to the hubs. He always do his best to make it a happy one and so far, he never failed. (“,)
