If this is your first time here, you’ll not see the difference. However, if you’re a regular visitor to our blog you’ll definitely detect something new. My wife, always being one to not accept the ordinary, decided that our blog needed updating. We started this blog back in 2009 while she was still in the Philippines and me in the US. Actually, at that point in time, we had yet to meet face-to-face. But once we did meet the rest, as cliché as it sounds, is history.
And it’s so ironic the title we chose for this blog for we have traveled many a road since our beginnings. The first step was my odyssey to the Philippines to meet her. Then the real adventure began after my proposal to her: dealing with all the work required to get her and her son here to the U.S. so we could get married. All was successful, though; mission accomplished and we’re heading towards our 4th wedding anniversary.
The first thing wifey wanted to update was the template for the blog. She did much research, came across something she loved and contacted the seller. Once all questions had been answered and all details worked out, I purchased it for her.
The next step was content. Over the five years this blog has been active many, if not most, of the blogs have been about travel. Even that has been updated. There is now no specific theme for the blog. We’re going to concentrate on writing about our family, our life and life in general and leisure.
There are yet many roads for us to traverse before we hit the thousand mark. Thing is, when that happens, we’ll just have to rename the blog Two Thousand Country Roads. But until that moment occurs, we hope all you followers will continue the journey with us, and we’ll do everything possible to make your ride entertaining and exciting.
