We were supposed to have some fun family outdoor time over the weekend but the chilly weather prompted us to just stay at home, snuggle and be lazy. We hope to do it this coming weekend if the weather cooperates. As per the forecast, there is a chance of rain but we do know that the weather could change any minute so I am hoping the expected rain will turn into sunshine.
To be specific about the family fun that we planned, we were supposed to have our second corn maze experience. We did it two years ago and we really enjoyed it big time. We are planning to visit a different location this time which has a bigger corn maze. They actually have two corn mazes, one for adults and one for kids. We still don’t know which one we’ll go for or if we’ll do both. That still remains to be seen. I will for sure share about it once we’ve done it.
Did you ever wonder where the idea for a corn maze originated? I wondered so I googled it and here’s what I stumbled upon…”The American Maze Company staked their claim to the modern corn maze in creating the first public puzzle in a Pennsylvania cornfield in 1993.” I was kind of surprised that it has not been that long since it begun. I was guessing it started long time ago since agriculture originated 12,000 years ago. Well, maybe the people back then were so focused on making food for their family rather than having fun in their corn fields.
Anywho, kudos to the one who thought of the corn maze because it is one among the many things that people look forward to enjoying in the fall, us included.
We really can’t wait to do it again soon. Oh, did you know that it was the husband’s first time to go in a corn maze too? He has lived here all his life and never went to one. He must have been busy making money rather than having fun, huh? Or he must have been into some other kind of fun. Hmmm…(“,)
How’s your fall so far? Have you gone to a corn maze yet?
