Thanksgiving is almost upon us and I can’t help but reflect on the things I am grateful and thankful for. This is mine and my son’s fifth celebration of Thanksgiving here in the U.S. and like I mentioned on my previous post about our anniversary, we arrived here in the U.S. two days before Thanksgiving of 2010. We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in my home country, the Philippines, so this is something that is entirely new to us.
Nonetheless, we know how to be thankful and have always been thankful and grateful of the things we were blessed with. Life isn’t a bed of roses nor is it perfect but it is your perspective and how you view the trials of living that makes your days worthwhile.
Today, I thought of sharing some of my favorite quotes that I’ve collected from the web to share with you – quotes that I agree with and truly believe in. I like reading quotes – quotes that are inspiring and motivational.
We are off to celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow with my brother-in-law and his family which we always do every year. The only difference this time is we’re going to eat out for dinner, for a change, instead of having it at their house.

There IS always something to be thankful for. I unfortunately had to venture out in my car into the traffic madness today and I have to say, some people are completely wild with being so impatient, or unkind especially to other drivers. They need to take a step back and realize they are actually healthy enough to be driving themselves around. It really puts things into perspective when you have a relative that can’t do a lot of things on their own.
