There are only 10 days left until Christmas!!! Are you done with all your shopping? I think I’m done with mine, but I’m surely not done wrapping them all yet because I am still waiting for the last package to arrive. I do hope the UPS man will get here before Christmas. 😉
And speaking of shopping, it was never in our plan to check and browse this store in Biltmore Village after we watched ‘An Old Fashioned Dickens of a Christmas Festival‘ a couple of weekends ago. It was a glorious day and there was just a little chill in the air so it was really perfect for a walk and stroll around the village.
We didn’t even know where to go first or what street to check first. We just walked and then we saw the sign. Honestly, I didn’t even know that this store existed in Historic Biltmore Village. We’ve only been to the village a few times before and we usually just drove around. That was the first time actually that we walked through the village.
And wasn’t it not only ironic, but such a perfect timing to browse a Christmas shoppe for the first time ever – right around the holidays and just right after we enjoyed a Christmas Festival. Simply wonderful!
My son was biting a candy cane that Santa Claus gave him.
The Olde World Christmas Shoppe, as their name entails, offer all things Christmas. And we’re talking not just ordinary Christmas stuff, but unique ones that came from all over the world.
I was amazed at the huge selection of Christmas collectibles and gifts that they have. I had a hard time choosing which ones to look at first, from the huge amount of ornaments, lights, trees, and even gingerbread houses. There was even a train running on the ceiling. I felt like I was a child with eyes wide open with fascination.
They have Christmas trees in different colors like red, green, white and even pink!
I love that manger that my son is looking at. I think it’s made of porcelain or clay and it was really beautiful.
We surely didn’t expect Santa Claus to be there. He was standing right at the door welcoming and greeting people as they came in. And he was actually the one who asked us if my son, Yogi would love to have their picture taken. Such a sweet Santa. 🙂

I am slightly obsessed with Christmas decorations, so I would be in heaven in that store. I would love to check it out someday.

That is too far for me to go, but I have been to a similar one in another state and it was FUN! I love checking out christmas stuff!

I would have a field day in there. We don’t have one of these shops around here but I’ll have to travel during Christmas one year so I can visit this.

I love the olde world feel of that store. It reminds me of a lot of things my grandmother would buy during the holidays and gift to us kids.

There are a few places similar to this local to where I live. I love these places where you can take the whole family and explore some really neat places for Christmas.
