It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And I’m actually singing that line and have been singing it over and over again. What can I say? This year is definitely my favorite time of the year. There is just so much joy in this season. From shopping to family gatherings and to gift giving to the abundance of food. And speaking of food, I think this time of year is also #CookieSeason, right?
Growing up, cookies have always been a part of our holiday celebration. I carried that tradition with me when I came here to the U.S., but I must admit, most of the cookies that we had before were in cans bought at the store. For a change this year, I thought of baking them myself, thanks to Betty Crocker. I’ve never thought baking cookies could be so easy. Preparing these delicious treats for my husband and son was a snap; they were ready in a few minutes.
I have a sweet tooth, something that both my husband and son have in common with me. And the three of us love chocolate as well. So when we went shopping for a cookie mix, there were no second thoughts, it was going to be the Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix, something my husband nostalgically remembered his mom doing for so many years.
So yes, it was my first time to bake cookies, and I am more than happy that my first was the Betty Crocker cookie mix. I’d heard about Betty Crocker many times before, but I just didn’t think preparing it would be as easy as 1-2-3. Not to mention, I only needed to add butter and egg with the mix.
But, I also added coconut sweetened flakes, an idea that my sister-in-law gave me. Perfect since we all love coconut too.
The mix created more than three dozens of these delicious cookies. We couldn’t eat them in one sitting so I stored them in a Ziploc large rectangle container.
I just love the fact that you can see through the container. I can see what’s inside it so it’s easier to know what I stored in it.
It definitely is space saving and it is so easy to close with its one press seal feature.
And of course, using this container is a great idea to give out cookies either as a hostess gift or give to any of your friends or family. You can add anything to prettify it by tying a ribbon around it or putting a bow on top of it and voila! You’ve got you a wonderful gift full of delicious cookies.
Not only does Betty Crocker offer simple and affordable way to baking cookies, you can also print coupons and avail of the great savings by visiting this LINK. Isn’t that a wonderful way to enjoy cookies yet save at the same time this holiday season?
And because I feel great to have Betty Crocker as my first cookies to bake, I’m giving away $10 to be sent to your PayPal. Please join the giveaway below.
May you all have a Merry Cookie Season!
