Happy Friday!
Today, I am so happy to share about my beautiful blooming blue hydrangeas. These beauties didn’t bloom for two consecutive years and I had no idea why. That’s why I was so delighted the first time I saw the flower buds earlier this spring. They are in full bloom right now and I can’t help but share.
Blue is one of my favorite colors. That said, I fell in love with these hydrangeas immediately the first time I laid my eyes on them. I remember seeing them everywhere on our first summer here in the U.S. We don’t have them in my home country, the Philippines, so they were truly delightful for me.
I have two hydrangea shrubs planted in front of the house. This one which is smaller than the other one is from a green house my sister-in-law took me to three yeas ago.
This one, the bigger one, was from our neighbor; I am surprised how big it has grown and the many blooms it has.
These perennials are so easy to care for. I’ve done nothing other than give them fertilizer every year and, of course, water them whenever needed and weed around the area where they were planted.
I also have a white blooming hydrangea at the back of the house. It is not in full bloom yet though and I kind of wonder why. I guess different varieties of hydrangeas bloom at different times. I will for sure share them when they’ve already reached their full bloom.
Aren’t these blue hydrangeas gorgeous? They never fail to delight me whenever I walk towards the house. They really add such beauty and color to the front yard and I will be enjoying their beauty for many more days because I think they will be blooming until late summer.
Do you have hydrangeas too?
More of my flowers here:
I absolutely love Hydrangeas. Down here in Georgia, they’re all over the place. Their bloom clusters are so huge and beautiful.
That is one of my favorite colors on a flower (or really anywhere!) My mom uses them all the time in floral arrangements.
Your hydrangeas are beautiful. Growing up I recall seeing them in various places in my community. I loved how full they were and I would see them in different colors. I used to pick them and stick them in my hair.

Those are one of my vary favorite flowers and I can not wait to plant some at our new house. We’ve got too much going on right now to mess with it this year, but next year is my year to focus on the pretty things.
