We had a kind of a whirlwind trip to Atlanta last week and both the hubs and I have already talked about it here. But to summarize it all off, here’s our trip to Hotlanta which although was only twenty-four hours really made it one of our best trips ever!
We’ve been to Atlanta a few times now and I must say, although the traffic can be really chaotic, I love the city! First off, Atlanta was our port of entry when my son and I first set our foot on U.S. soil and that’s one thing why Atlanta will always hold a special place in my heart.
WHAT WE DID
Both the hubs and I have blogged about the main reasons why without second thoughts we grabbed the chance to go to Atlanta even though it was on short notice though we knew that we couldn’t stay for long. It was a dream come true for the hubs most especially to receive a call from the Atlanta Braves office and to be invited to join the post-game ceremonies of the Final Game at Turner Field.

WHERE WE STAYED
We decided to stay downtown once again just like the first time because it is just so convenient to be close to Turner Field. We stayed at Hotel Indigo Downtown. We’ve enjoyed our stay at this hotel although it was only for a night. The decor was modern and really nice. I loved everything in our room – from the beds to the bathroom. Our room wasn’t ready when we got there, but no biggie because we just checked in early and went straight to Turner Field. By the time we got back, our room was already clean and good to go.
WHERE WE ATE
We usually eat at the ballpark when we watch a game. We had dippin’ dots (our son’s favorite) and we also had a funnel cake. I surely was surprised to see the Funnel Cake booth. It was located in the main level and we didn’t see it when we arrived and found our seats. If not for the parade that we’ve joined in where we need to check in in that area, we would have never seen it. 🙂
After the game, we headed to Hard Rock Cafe for dinner which was located right in front of Hotel Indigo Downtown. Read my post here: A Rockin’ Dinner at Hard Rock Cafe in Atlanta
That trip to Atlanta was short, but definitely sweet. Can’t wait to go back!
