Happy November! But with our warm temps (in the 70’s), it sure don’t feel like November. I’ve actually been wearing my flip-flops and shorts lately. It’s such an unusual kind of weather for this time of the year with record-breaking high temperatures. And it’s the first time that I’ve experienced such since I got here in the U.S. almost six years ago. But hey, I am not at all complaining! 🙂 How’s the weather in your part of the U.S.?
Anyway, let’s head on to our October recap!
FAMILY
October is when leaves start to change color and it’s also the month where there’s a lot of fun fall activities for the whole family. Exactly one of the reasons why I love fall – you get to enjoy some bonding time with your family minus the scorching heat of the sun. We visited a pumpkin patch again this year – the one that we visited four years ago. That was where we bought our pumpkins when we carved our first jack-o-lanterns.
There are certainly a lot of fun fall activities to enjoy outside, but for the hubs, reading a good scary book is enjoyable this time of year too.
FOOD
I was finally able to prepare mummy cupcakes for Halloween! For me, they didn’t look as cute as the mummy cupcakes on the five cute Halloween cupcakes round-up that I did, but my boys said they were cute enough. 🙂 I also shared the cute Halloween treats again that I shared here on the blog before. They were all almost too cute to eat!
We made a kind of whirlwind trip to Atlanta earlier in October and had dinner at Hard Rock Cafe. Too bad we don’t have that restaurant here in our city. I would love to eat there again.
TRAVEL
Like I mentioned, we made a trip to Atlanta last month and I summarized it all in the post, 24 Hours in Atlanta. And our main reason of going there was to attend the Farewell to Turner Field ceremony which we were so lucky to be invited into. Hubby also talked about it on, A So-Long to The Ted.
And that’s it! Gotta love October!
How was your October?

I love October and it went so fast this year. I feel like Halloween came and went and I didn’t get enough time to enjoy it. But on to November and giving thanks for everything!

October flew by so quickly. It is hard to believe we will be celebrating Thanksgiving in a few weeks.
It sounds like you and your family had a busy month.
We went to the dog park a few times, ventured to the state park, went to the park, and a few Halloween festivals.

We had snow here in Upper Michigan in October but it didn’t stay.or even stick to the ground yet. My October was indeed fun with Halloween. I love Halloween because of carving the pumpkins and handing out candy. There was not many kids though this year because it was cold and raining here. Thanks for sharing your October.

Looks like a perfect October to me! You filled the month with all the perfect activities.i really feel like the last few months of the year somehow fly by faster than the first few. So much excitement at the end of the year makes the time move quickly I think.
