Autumn is definitely my favorite season. If you follow me on Instagram, you must have already figured that out because of the many photos that I share about this season. We are having the most strange autumn this year with temps still in the 70’s, but I am not at all complaining because it only means one thing, getting to enjoy the outside more.
Autumn is not only full of beauty, the temp is my kind of weather too – not too cold and not to hot. If only it would stay that way the whole year through.
It was in the 70’s on Friday when the hubs and I headed to Lake Louise in Weaverville, NC which is located north of Asheville. I’ve blogged about Lake Louise in the past, but I can’t seem to get enough of the beauty of this lake.
It was in my plan to visit the lake in autumn and get photos of not only the lake, but of the beautiful autumn colors too. Unfortunately, I was already a  little late. There were still some colors left, but most of the trees are already bald especially the part where the water wheel was. I miscalculated. I thought the trees won’t be bald yet because of the not so fall-like weather.
A lot of the tree may be bald already, but surprisingly, there were still a lot of green leaves on the tree. I think even the leaves are having a hard time figuring out if it’s already autumn because of the warm temps. 🙂
And look what we saw there? A bunch of ducks! We’ve seen them before, but that was the first time that we’ve seen them so close like that. So cute, right?
What a relaxing view! I’ll never get tired of looking at it.
Lake Louise looks beautiful. We have lucked out here in Chicago and actually got fall instead of jumping into winter. I love the cooler weather.
I would never tire of looking at that either! I love places like this for you can just get away, enjoying nature and the nice crisp fall weather. These are some beautiful pictures.
What a gorgeous place. I love spending time at a lovely lake. It’s so peaceful and serene.
Lake Louise looks so beautiful. I could spend the whole day there, sitting in the sun and feeding the ducks.
The scenery looks beautiful and the weather looks perfect. Thanks for sharing love the photos.
It looks so lovely! I’m in Northwest Arkansas and it is just finally cooling off here. The leaves are definitely falling, too. 🙂
Autumn is my favourite season as well!! Lake Louise looks like a great spot to visit! I love the colour changing trees against the blue water and blue sky!! What a site to see!
What a beautiful place! It looks quite peaceful and it’s really perfect spot for family.

These are fantastic photos. Fall is my favorite season as well. Lake Louise looks so pretty.
What a beautiful view! I love going to the lake this time of year. Seeing all the leaves and the lake makes it so pretty.
The lake is beautiful. The leaves are just starting to turn where I am at. I love the pretty fall colors too.
This looks like a relaxing place to visit. My kids would love feeding the ducks.
I ove North Carolina but have never been to Lake Louise! It looks like the perfect fall getaway!!
Ugh, I love lakesides that aren’t blocked by gates. They’re for safety reasons, of course, but it’s so nice to just sit or lay close to the water edge. So relaxing and replenishing
looks like a hidden gem, so peaceful and beautiful to relax and take it all in… I’d love to visit there some day!
I always love taking trips to the lake…just looking at beautiful blue water can make all of my troubles and worries melt away. Lake Louise looks absolutely amazing…a great way to take in the beauty of Fall.
My best friend JUSt moved to North Carolina and is looking for things to do. I will have to share this with her!
I have never been, but what a beautiful place this looks like. Thank you for sharing. I love the photos.
Autumn is my favorite season of the year, nothing can beat the crisp air and beautiful colors everywhere. I’ve never been to that part of North Carolina. I am close to Smoky Mountain Tennessee and NC border. Its beautiful here all year round.
This sounds like a very relaxing gorgeous time at Lake Louise. I would love to rent a house on a lake just to relax and unplug for a weekend. Here the leafs are all changing and I don’t think there are any green leafs on the trees. Thanks for sharing the beautiful photos and your experience.
It’s been a crazy fall. Today it was almost 70 in northern Michigan. I’m not sure what to make of it all.
NC has so many hidden gems and this is definitely one of them! I love the state and Lake Louise looks like an amazng place to relax and enjoy autumn.
What a lovely lake! I would love to visit North Carolina again soon. I’m up north in Ohio and while we’ve been lucky with warmer weather, I know I’ll be looking for an get-a-way when the snow arrives in the next month or two!
Omg what a beautiful lake!!! I take my daughter to the lake near our house all the time during the fall to feed the ducks before they fly away for the winter.
I always find it calming to be near any body of water. I prefer the ocean, but I’ll take a Lake too! 🙂
