I love food. And although I’m not an expert when it comes to cooking, I do try my best to prepare food here at home because even though I love going out to eat at restaurants or get takeouts, I still prefer home-cooked meals more than anything.
I’ve shared our food adventures here on the blog as well as the recipes that I’ve created and prepared. I’m recapping it all for you today just in case you’ve missed one or two or perhaps all of them. 🙂 So here you go!
I took this photo when we celebrated Hubby’s birthday in February last year. His birthday was extra special for us because it was kind of like a “rebirth” for him. Read more of that story in the Food Trip section below in the post, An Extra Special Birthday Celebration. That said, this photo is so special because it reminds me of that special night and so I chose it to be the primary photo for this Best of 2016 Food post.

I love the monster cupcakes and wish that I was able to make them all fancy. I am beginning to think that I just haven’t tried using the right equipment or frosting to ice the cupcakes.
The smoothie also looks so good. I wish that I had some avocados. They were just too green at the store so I didn’t buy any this time. Maybe next time, I will pick some up and give this smoothie a try.

I enjoy cooking, especially cooking for a crowd. Before my children married I normally cooked for a minimum of 6-7 and with friends hanging around for dinner it was more like 10-12. Great memories and my girls all enjoy cooking for thier families now.
