Goodbye January! Hello February!
I love recapping what we’ve shared here on the blog for the month because it is always fun and delightful to look back to those memories not to mention, it is also one way of letting you know what you may have missed that you would have loved to read. 😉
After sharing with you the best of 2016 in family, food and travel, here’s our first recap of the year. Some of the stories that we’ve shared in January happened last year, but our post schedule for December was so packed we couldn’t fit them all in. And that’s because there was just a lot to share with regards to our holiday trip. So without further ado, here’s our January recap!
FAMILY
We went to a drive-through light show a few days before Christmas and it was such a fun place to be with the whole family. Loved all the fun structures they created.
FOOD
Since the time I saw a recipe about Paleo online, I’ve been wanting to prepare one. I finally got to do it last week after seeing a recipe. I tweaked it a bit, but it was still delicious. Have you tried the Shrimp & Sausage Skillet Paleo yet?
I love smoothies so much either for breakfast or for my afternoon snack. I’ve shared my simple and easy yet delicious recipe for Avocado Smoothie Bowl and I hope you’ve tried it.
Got the opportunity to try out a new restaurant while we were at the airport for our holiday trip. We didn’t only enjoy our breakfast at Whisky River, I enjoyed the interior decoration too.
TRAVEL
Both the hubs and I have shared a lot about our holiday trip to New York City last December. The hubs talked about the art deco of New York City as well as our experience in the Empire State Building and his own take on that wonderful and magical Christmas trip.
I am Catholic by faith and seeing St. Patrick’s Cathedral was just amazing. It is definitely the most beautiful cathedral that I’ve ever seen. Not only was I amazed with the Cathedral, I was also amazed with the huge billboards and all the lights and mayhem in Times Square. Dang! No wonder it is one of the most famous spots in the Big Apple.
How was your January?

New York is one of my favorite places in the United States. There is so much to do and see. Did you get to see a show? I can’t wait to go back soon with my little girls and take in a show in the most magical city in the North East.
We didn’t get to watch a show. Hopefully next time. 🙂
