Goodbye April! Hello May!
I know, right? Time seems to fly by and here I am again for my monthly recap of what transpired here on the blog the previous month. But I am more than excited that May is already here because it only means one thing: we are a month closer to June. And why am I excited for June you may ask? Well…I’m sorry but I can’t divulge yet. You’ll find out soon. Please bear with me, okay? đŸ˜‰
So before I get carried away, let’s head on to the recap and find out what you may have missed that might interest you.
FAMILY
Spring was in full swing in April and, with that, the hubs talked about what keeps him busy and what he looks forward to each spring in his posts, The Rites of Spring and A Moment of Redemption.
Our son’s spring break was in the second week of spring this year ( it usually falls at the end of March) and I shared some ideas for spring break family fun.
FOOD
I shared two recipes last month – one of my favorite Filipino dishes, Adobong Talong or Eggplant Adobo, and the delicious vegetarian dish, Sweet Corn and Spring Vegetable Pasta. I also rounded up delicious treats and recipes for Easter and Cinco de Mayo.
The hubs and I were able to have lunch dates and a movie date and, of course, I had to share the food because it was so good! đŸ˜‰
TRAVEL
We don’t travel or go on vacation during spring break, but we make sure to enjoy the break as much as we can. We checked out the Antique Car Museum here in the city and the Homespun Museum right next door to it. It was a fascinating trip to the past.
And that’s it!
How was your April? Hope it was fabulous!

Your visit to the antique car museum sounds like a great road trip. I always like to check out unique and classic automobiles. If I had a bigger garage probably would own a few of my own as well.

April was a busy month for my family. I had a lot of posts to write, my eldest had a few basketball tournyes to go to, and my other half has been tackling jobs around our home. The weather has made it difficult for us to enjoy much of the changes happening around here. Hopefully, May will bring sunnier days with it!

April was hit or miss, had a kid break and arm and the weather didn’t cooperate on the outdoor stuff, but did get the mud room almost redone.
