Happy Monday!
Hope you moms out there had a wonderful Mother’s Day! I didn’t have breakfast in bed because the hubs apparently didn’t get the memo that I sent him here. đ I also didn’t get a full body massage. I did get a back scratch which also felt like heaven especially when there was that itchy spot that I couldn’t reach myself. So that will have to suffice. Also, I woke up way earlier than him, as I usually do, so that explains the no breakfast in bed scenario.
But let me tell you, both of them still didn’t fail to make me extra special and loved on Mother’s Day, like they always do. I was showered with gifts and I couldn’t be more thankful. The spoiling started on Saturday though.
Hubby gave me a treat on Saturday before we headed to our usual Saturday duty which is grocery shopping. He took me to one of his favorite restaurants. Can you tell which one just by looking at the milkshake?
I had this Jamocha milkshake paired with curly fries. Both are really delish! Their curly fries are my fave and I think I have a new fave now, this milkshake. This is one of their milkshakes that I think they only offer seasonally. They also have a milkshake in the fall that I always look forward to getting, the Pumpkin Cheesecake Shake. Yum!
Then we had dinner on Sunday at our most favorite restaurant in Asheville, The Corner Kitchen. We’ve been to this restaurant a few times already like Hubby’s birthday celebration and, as always, the foods were superb! This restaurant was where the Obamas dined at when they visited Asheville. I’ll be sharing more about the dinner on this week’s Food Trip Friday post.
The restaurant is located in the historic Biltmore Village which is adjacent to the main entrance of America’s largest home, the Biltmore Estate. George Vanderbilt created this village as a “company town” for the workers of his huge mansion. This area would remind you of an English country village featuring an eclectic collection of shops, restaurants, and other businesses.
If you get to visit Asheville, North Carolina in the future, I highly recommend this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed, I assure you.
How about you? How was your Mother’s Day weekend?
That sounds like a good Mother’s Day weekend to me. I have yet to celebrate Mother’s Day since everyone in my family had to work on Sunday. I hope to have some fun today.
My Mother’s Day was great! It wasn’t as eventful as yours, but that’s exactly what I was going for.
You gave me such a nice memory. When my grandmother was alive, Jamocha Milkshakes were her favorite!
Happy Mother’s Day!
I am so happy your Mother’s Day was a win! That Jamocha looks so good! I had a great day as well. Spent it with my daughter and her long time boyfriend who is like a son to me. They knocked it out of the park with the gifts too – not expensive but things I loved.
I too had a great weekend. It was full of fun activities. It wasn’t that great as yours, but I enjoyed it a lot đ
Glad to know that you had a wonderful weekend. The milkshake looks yummy. I also didn’t get breakfast in bed, but I also had a great time on that day.
I totally love the Milk shake I’ve never tried this one but i’ll make sure to try it. Yummy!
Sounds like you had a lovely Mother’s Day, despite not having breakfast in bed haha. I spent the day baking with my mom đ
The shake looks amazing. We went out to eat on Saturday at Olive Garden for Mother’s day. Then my husband let my son pick out some flowers for me. On Sunday we went to church and over to my mother in laws house for a late lunch.
It looks like you had an amazing Mother’s Day weekend! We went to the beach and it was simply amazing.
I really enjoy the area that this restaurant is located. I could also go for some curly fries right about now. Lol!
This looks like it was the perfect weekend! I also had a great weekend but I didnt get a milkshake đ
What a wonderful, relaxing Mother’s Day! The milkshake looks super tasty. I have never traveled to this area but the restaurant choice sounds like it would be definitely something interesting!
This was one of the better Mother’s Day for me. Happy you had a good weekend.
Mother’s Day was great this year! We went to the cemetery to visit my mom and then we went to the beach, just a few miles away from home. And all I can think about is, I’m thankful to be a mother to my only child. Being a single parent is hard, but no matter what happens, life must go on. Happy Belated Mother’s Day to you Lyndee!
Being a parent is not easy, and that’s why I truly admire single parents. Happy Belated Mother’s Day to you too, Zwitsal.
Glad you enjoyed it. I spent Saturday with my Mom and Sunday with Babe and our kids. I would have loved a day of silence but I enjoyed the cards, gifts, and dinner.
Sounds like it was a relaxing weekend! We went out to a nice dinner on Friday in our area, definitely will be memories for a long time! This looks like a great restaurant you went to as well, fun times, enjoy!
