Happy Monday and hope you are having a wonderful Labor Day!
Now that school has started, having a three day weekend is sure a treat. My son’s first week in high-school was a little hectic. We woke up late during the summertime so the transition of waking up much earlier last week was a little hard for him. He made up for it this weekend though and slept as much as he could including today. He’s still adjusting now, but I know he’ll be fine soon.
Other than school there were other things too that kept us busy last week.
The hubs and I were on our way home at this time. I’ve always loved this tree-lined street. I’ve taken photos of this spot many times and shared it many times too on my Instagram account.
On the previous photo, we were on our way home from here – downtown Asheville. I had to take a photo of my favorite spot which I shared on Instagram. And to give the hubs of an idea of how I wanted the photo taken, I took a photo of him first.
Later that week, we went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. This restaurant is located so close from where we live. We’ve been wanting to try it, but whenever we call for reservations, they were always closed. Finally, we got to sample their food on my birthday. So what’s the verdict? You’ll know on Friday.
My husband never fails to make me feel extra-special on my birthday. Other than the precious gifts, he also gave me this thoughtful birthday card that is filled with sweet notes inside. My birthday celebration is not over yet though. The weather on Friday did not cooperate so we cancelled our trip to a famous local site. Hopefully, we’ll get to go there later this week so I can continue celebrating my birthday and, of course, I will be sharing that trip here on the blog soon.
How was the week for you?
My week has been going well. I’ve gotten a lot of work done, gotten in a movie night with the fam, and even a date night with the hubs!
My son started school last week, and I was so happy that he didn’t have any trouble going to bed early. We only had about three days of school before the long weekend so its a big treat for us lol
I cannot believe we are almost in fall and school has started. Time goes by so quickly and I cannot catch up!
Looks like you guys had a great week. Happy belated birthday! My week has been bittersweet. I honestly don’t remember much of the actual week. However, our dog was hit by a car Saturday morning and died. As can be expected, we were devastated. Initially, I was thinking I was done with pets, but then we ended up adopting two dogs. A 3-year-old Shih-tsu/Schnauzer and an 11-week-old Beagle/Lab. It’s a bit crazy, but I guess life can be that way sometimes.
What an amazing week you guys had for sure! That bacon wrapped scallop in the menu immediately took my interest. I totally want one. Then again — that’s just me with my pregnant cravings. Our LDW was quite quiet … stayed at home — and for me lots of pain lol. Thank you for this post it sure brightened my noon.
My week was good. Getting into the swing of things again with school starting back up. I really love your photos.
