Goodbye, June! Hello July! Can you believe we’re halfway through the year already? But I’m not at all complaining because I have been looking forward to this month. I’ll give you three reasons why: 4th of July, Christmas in July on the Hallmark Channel and our family summer vacation. Yay! But before I get carried away let us look back at what we shared here on the blog last month, in case you missed it. So here you go!
Travel
It was this time last year when we had our month-long vacay to my home country and I couldn’t help but reminisce about that wonderful vacation. We took the first step by flying to Chicago so I shared about that here as well as a little tidbit about Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

Family
One of the special celebrations that we look forward to celebrating in is Father’s Day so I paid tribute to two special Dads here on the blog. Our parents also celebrated their 50th Anniversary in June which was a huge milestone for their marriage.
We try our best to make healthy choices all the time, but I must admit, sometimes we fail. And the good thing is, we’re trying and we’ll continue to try so I shared about Healthy Habits for the Whole Family.
Food
One thing that you certainly miss when you’re from a foreign country is your native food. Glad that I could prepare some of my favorite Filipino dishes here in the U.S. I’ve shared a lot already which you can find on our Recipe Page. And recently I prepared this Pancit Canton which is one of my son’s favorites too.
If you’re into smoothies like me, check the post about 5 Healthy Smoothies You Should Make this Week. And not to forget the easiest thing to grab when your life gets hectic…PIZZA!
Summer is in Full Swing
How’s your summer so far? I shared the things that we look forward to in the summer and some of it are surely making it hectic, but we’re loving it. Hubby’s having a blast with yard work. He loves mowing the yard, you know and he uses his lawn mower as his time travel machine. LOL. He also talked about one of his favorite shows that he has been watching again lately. He never gets tired of those shows.
