It was our last day in Savannah and before heading to Tybee Island, we decided to have breakfast first at the hotel’s restaurant, Five Oaks Taproom. We enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant on our first day there so having our breakfast at their taproom was a no-brainer. The hubs had already visited the taproom on our first evening there, coming away with a good impression of the service, their wait staff and their offering of spirits.
The restaurant offers extensive menu options. Though we perused the menu carefully in search of something extra special, we all knew what each of us really wanted, so choosing our meal was not that difficult.
Orange juice for me and the little one, and coffee for the hubs.
Both the hubs and I chose the same dish…sunny-side up eggs, sausage and pancakes.
And short rib tater tot bowl for the kiddo. As per him, it was as delicious as it looks.
Making himself busy while we were waiting for our food.
We always prefer to sit in a booth when we’re in a restaurant…not unless the restaurant doesn’t have booths. 🙂 We just feel like a booth gives us more privacy not to mention, it is more comfortable. Don’t you think so too? Too bad not all restaurants offer the same coziness and privacy.
Compared to our dinner, there were quite a few more people there that Sunday morning having their breakfast as well. Just like I mentioned on my post last Friday about our dinner there, this is a restaurant and bar, and they have a live performance at the bar in the evening.
All in all, the ambiance is good. So is the decor and the service. We enjoyed our meal, totally.

I also like seating in booths. I am introvert so I want to eat as peaceful as possible. lol! I like how the food looks, so delicious!

The quality of service is how we usually weight whether or not we will return. The quality of food has to be good, of course.

I love a restaurant with an extensive menu. I try to select a meal with ingredients and flavor combinations that aren’t a usual part of my diet. I spied that Wild Georgia Shrimp Omelet on the menu…that sounds tasty!

That is the way to start the day. Those sausages look delicious!

I always choose a booth whenever possible because it’s more comfortable too. I need the comfort of the comfy cushions in a booth due to back/tailbone issues.
The breakfast looks delicious. Im a sucker for pancakes but that tater tots short rib dish looks so good. I would give up pancakes to try it.

This does look like a nice hotel restaurant. The menu selections and the prices look decent, too. I’m also reading this in the morning before I’ve had breakfast, and now I’m hungry after seeing the pictures of your food! 🙂 And yes, hubby and I always prefer booths when they’re available, for the reasons you stated.
