And just like that, I blinked and my birthday month is over. But it was a good month. And I love fall…it’s my favorite season. So, hello October! Excited to see all the beauty and fun that fall has to offer, but before I get carried away, let’s head on to our monthly recap.
Other than sharing my birthday celebration, we also continued to share about our family summer vacation. There was just so much to share about that wonderful vacation. Hubby also shared about his hobby and pastimes which for sure you have already known of by now if you have been following our little space in the blogosphere. 🙂
Family
Two golf enthusiasts enjoying a round of golf. That’s my Dad and Hubby right there. They got to play golf during our recent trip to the Philippines at a new golf course with amazing views. Look at those mountains!
As you know, Hubby also loves watching baseball and he is such a happy camper (we all are, actually) because the Atlanta Braves won the National League East Division and they’re headed to the playoffs. Woot!
Who are fans of musical blasts from the past around here? Check that post out if you are.
Food
We had dinner at a Latin restaurant on my birthday. The food was good. And so was the food that we had at Paula Deen’s restaurant in Savannah. Best. Southern Food. Ever. The food at the hotel’s restaurant was good too. But I have to be honest, it wasn’t as delicious as Paula’s.

Visiting Savannah was a total blast. Love how the Spanish moss beautifully drapes on the trees and bushes and loved learning the city’s history. Click the link to each post to learn more. And are you familiar with the song “Moon River” that was used in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s? We learned more things about it in Savannah too.
And that’s a wrap!
How was your September? Here’s to a fantastic October!
Ok that golf course has an amazing view! I lived in Florida most of my life and sadly I rarely got up to Georgia and aside from Atlanta don’t really know all there is to do there! I’m hoping someday I can make it back!
It sounds like you had a great month! We recently went to GA and can’t wait to go back and see more!
what a beautiful country to visit and the history to know more..
What a fantastic way to spend the month. I’m happy you got to go celebrate your birthday at a yummy restaurant – happy belated!
That food looks tasty. I want to visit Savannah one of these days, it always looks peaceful
My husband is obsessed with the idea of visiting Georgia lately. I will have to check out your recs and opinions when we get down to planning!
Looks like you had an awesome time in Savannah. Mine is a bit boring as usual. I hope I can travel more.
We were just in Georgia, and we loved it. I’m going to save this for our next Georgia trip. Thanks!
You’re welcome, Nancy!
I have spent some time in Savannah and I always enjoy my time there. it is such a well cultured city.
Oh what an amazing time you had there! The food looks so good too. I hate that the UK is so far away!
The food looks absolutely amazing! I will definitely have to visit here soon!
Fall is my favorite season, too. Here in Maine, the fall foliage is becoming beautiful, as always. I’ve lived in New England all my life (New Hampshire, and now Maine), and I never get tired of the glorious display. With our huge coastline, lighthouses are numerous. I never thought of Georgia having lighthouses!
Looks like you had an amazing month, lots of great travel experiences and some yummy food!
