It was the last day of October, the sun was shining and we were finally seeing some vibrant colors out there. It took a a little while for the colors to reach their peak this year compared to last year. But we were patient about it although I must admit that I was itching for it to arrive because I so wanted to take photos. And as soon as it got here, off we went to enjoy the sunshine as well as the beauty that only autumn offers.
The air was crisp that day; not chilly;not warm; a perfect day to enjoy nature in all its glory.
If only these beautiful colors would last a little bit more longer, but they won’t. So I soaked it all in and feasted my eyes on all the yellows, reds, oranges and even greens. But the only greens my Hubby was feasting his eyes on was the golf course greens.
The surroundings almost looked like a painting done in watercolor. And while staring at it, I sometimes still can’t believe that it was right before me. We only have two seasons in my tropical country, the Philippines: wet and dry. And with the temps in high 90’s and even 100’s at times, it feels like summer the whole year through. The heat can get old. That’s exactly why I love autumn so much…not hot, not cold…just perfect!
The crunching sound of the leaves is one thing that is to love about autumn as well. And although it can be a pain to rake them all up, there’s also beauty in those colorful leaves lying in the ground and those falling from the trees.
I shared previously the 15 things I love about fall, but the fall foliage is definitely the one thing I most look forward to seeing and enjoying. And let me end this with one of my favorite fall quotes:
“No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace as I have seen in one autumnal face.” – John Donne

Totally love this time of year, Cherri. And this is one of the reasons why fall is my favorite season.
There is something about the colours of this time of year, the way the leaves turn all sorts of shades. Definitely one of my favourite seasons.
That’s a beauty story. I love the colors of Fall, but haven’t seen it yet here in Texas. So, your photos are so refreshing to me. Thanks

Thank you, Kendra!
I love the pictures, I miss the leaves changing in fall down in Florida. I must travel more next fall.
Those trees are so pretty with their changing leaves. The setup of that area reminds me of a park I used to go to when I was a kid. 🙂
