We love chocolate over here. Actually, we love anything chocolate flavored. It’s one of those things that the three of us would absolutely agree upon. From snacks to desserts, and even when it comes to beverages. Hot chocolate, anyone?
One day, out of the blue, our son asked us (Hubby and I) to make some cookies. Chocolate crinkle cookies to be precise. He remembered the chocolate crinkle cookies that my sister-in-law prepared for Christmas and asked for them because he was craving.
Well, I loved those chocolate crinkle cookies that my SIL made too, but I’ve never prepared those cookies before. So I searched for a recipe online and saw one.
This is the recipe that I followed. And look at those cookies. They don’t only look good, they taste so good as well.
The recipe is good for a lot of cookies. I have only made a dozen at a time these past few days because aside from not having enough room to store them, we couldn’t eat them all at once. Not to mention, they’re also way better when they’re fresh out of the oven. Agree?
I think I have baked three batches already, but I have still have a lot of dough left chilling in the fridge. I am going to bake another batch this morning because there’s only two cookies left on the plate in the dining table.
Funny thing, when I was still in the Philippines, we just always bought them at the store. Here, I have to make them myself from scratch. But I truly enjoy doing it. Who doesn’t love baking?
Now I wonder what my son would make us bake next time? Oh, he did ask us to bake chocolate chip cookies before this. It didn’t end up the way we wanted to, though. Hopefully, next time, we will get it right.

I have never tried this recipe before, but as a chocoholic myself, now I’ve bookmarked it. Baking with my daughter is one of my favorite things to do. We just make a German Chocolate cake from scratch for my husband for his birthday. This is a fun rainy day baking project we are going to do next.
