Happy New Year!!!
How did you ring in the New Year? Like I mentioned on my Instagram post yesterday, the hubs and I watched the ball dropped with champagne in hand to welcome the New Year…not in Times Square though, but at home in our cozy pajamas.
We’ve been watching Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on TV for many years now and we’re proud of ourselves for making it until midnight because our bedtime is normally at 9 o’clock. 🙂
Now, on to the recap for December.
Our posts for December were all about the Holiday Season. It’s our way of spreading Christmas cheer here on the blog.
For some family fun, we shared these posts below.
- Gingerbread Houses at the Grove Park Inn
- Ways to Give Back During the Holiday Season
- ‘Tis Time of the Season for Christmas Movies
For gift giving, I wrote about my go-to gift ideas. Some of these gifts not only applies for the Holiday Season actually, but also to other special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries.
It’s our 9th year of celebrating Christmas in the U.S. which means, it’s been 9 years that I haven’t celebrated Christmas in my home country, the Philippines. We celebrate Christmas almost the same, but we do have Filipino Christmas traditions that are unique to my country. And I’ve talked all about it in my post, Christmas in the Philippines. Please find the link to the post below.
But just like the previous 8 years of celebrating Christmas here in the U.S., we still had a wonderful Christmas spent with family here, and you can read all the fun in the links below.
And that’s it! How was your December or Christmas in particular? I hope it was filled with joy and wonderful times with your loved ones.

Thank you, Brianne! It sure is a blessing. Have a great 2019 as well.
I hope you have a great 2019 and all the best is yet to come for you. We don’t watch the ball drop anymore, haven’t in many years, it just isn’t our thing. We do enjoy getting a fresh start each year though. It’s a special time.
Thank you, Melissa. Have a great 2019 as well.
I have a lot of great times in celebrating this holiday season. Even though I am not with my family in the Philippines I am still happy because I am welcoming this year of 2019 with my husband and my kids. I am wishing you all the best for this 2019!
Thank you, Gervin. Have a great 2019!
My family and I were sick off and on throughout the holiday season. Other than that, it was a pretty decent holiday season!
Christmas was pretty decent, I was able to have my kids and they said Christmas was amazing. My depression was pretty rough throughout the holiday break, which is crazy.
