Reese Witherspoon…who doesn’t love her? She’s always amazing in anything she does in films, whether drama or comedy. Apparently, she is also good in things other than acting and she’s sharing them all in this book.
I follow her on Instagram and that was when I found out about this book. So I included it on my Christmas wish list last year. I must have been nice because Santa granted my wish. 🙂 If you are following me on Instagram, you would have seen this already because I’ve already shared this picture there.
This book was a fun book to read. I not only got to know more about Reese Witherspoon and her life in the south, but it also has her favorite recipes which I can’t wait to try one by one.
Southern Hospitality
We live in North Carolina which is a southern state. Reading this book enlightened me about the common characteristics that Southerners are known for, including hospitality.
Actually, modesty aside, Filipinos are known for our hospitality too. 🙂
Tips & Tricks
Reese grew up in Nashville and she shared a lot about her childhood as well as her growing up years. From catching frogs and selling lemonade to setting the family table and how to make special occasions special.
She loves to entertain and host and she shared stories about it.
Delicious Recipes
I have yet to try any of her recipes, but that’s next on my list. She shared all kinds of recipes. From side dishes and casseroles to salads. Even beverages like sweet tea.
I would like to prepare her Chicken Pot Pie first. My husband is a lover of pot pies and her recipe sounds delicious not to mention, easy to make.
Great Read
I really had fun reading this book. It’s one of those books where you feel good after reading it.
Have you read this book yet?

Haven’t read this one yet but I love Reese Witherspoon. She was filming here a few years ago and I had the opportunity to meet her. Looks like I may have to add this book to my Winter reading.

What an awesome opportunity for you, Tomi. I would love to meet her in person! 🙂
This sounds like a great read! I thinks she is one of the few celebrities that has it mostly together! I didn’t know she was writing book!
I read many different books and have seen this one on the shelf. Just have not picked it up to read
I want to read this because I just love Reese! I also love her clothing line too. Of course, I’m southern so loving Reese is a requirement and I’m looking forward to reading her book.
I have aways loved her movies and Legally Blonde was a real fun film. I have to get this book and try a few recipes.
That sounds like such a great book! I’m a big fan of both Reese and the southern way of treating guests, so I can’t wait to read this.
I haven’t read this, but I’ve always liked Reese. I might have to pick this up. I think I’d like the recipes!
This is my first time learning of this book. I would love to check it out.
I had this book on my Christmas Wish List but no, one listened and got it for me. So for Valentines Day I plan on purchasing it for myself. Since my husband and I don’t give Gifts to each other.
I had no idea that she has a book out! I’m definitely going to have to check it out.
That sounds like such a fun book! I am also a fan of Reese Witherspoon. The title is cute – I’ll have to check it out!
I haven’t read this one yet but I am a collector of books and this would be nice to add to my collection especially for that sweet tea.
Is it bad that I have this book but I haven’t read it yet?? I need to get on that ASAP!!
I love Reese Witherspoon too! I really need to get that book! Thanks for sharing your impressions with us!
Not a fan of hers but I watched some of her movies though. This book would be a hit for her fans.
I love Reese Witherspoon. I don’t know why I don’t own this book already!
I’m a big fan of hers. I just love her too! I’m glad to hear about this book. I’m going to have to grab one and read it myself. Sounds like a good one.
Couldn’t agree more: Filipinos are totally known for their hospitality! My parents are Filipino and I always saw how generous they were as I was growing up.
Oh, hi there, Lisa! I didn’t know you are Filipino. So glad to know that! 🙂
BB lives in the south, and if there is a “one of a kind” thing here it’s the Sweet Tea. Look forward to how she makes it.
