I’ve heard about National Siblings Day before, but it was already too late for me to blog about it. Not this time. I was doing my usual internet hopping yesterday when I found out about it and so, here it is.
So what’s the relevance of this flower to this post you might ask? Well, this is one of our late Mom’s flowers in her flower garden and it was blooming last summer when we were there. If you remember, we made that trip last summer to my hometown to bury Mom. And that’s the time that the family was complete again after many years. You may read all the stories about Mom and all the other stories about that trip in the links below.

Our Family of Six
Here’s a painting of our family of six and as you can see, I have three siblings…two brothers and a sister. I’m the baby of the family. The four of us are in different countries now, but thanks to social media and the modern technology, they sure keep us connected.
Let me introduce y’all to my older siblings and let me do the introduction based on seniority. 🙂
First Child in Singapore
Meet the eldest child. He is known as JunJun in the family and he’s currently in Singapore working.
Second in the Philippines
Known as Belen in the family, meet the second child and my only sister. She still lives in our hometown with her family and with our Dad.
Third in Canada
The third child is known as Wing in the family. Him and his family moved to Canada a little less than a couple of years ago. We hope to visit them soon!
Youngest in the U.S.A.
And yours truly. I am known as Inday in the family. Inday is a very common nickname in the Philippines, but I have no idea what it means. And usually, Inday is named to the youngest daughter.
So there you go!
We may be everywhere around the world, but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate National Siblings Day via the internet, right? 🙂
How about you? Are you celebrating too?

Keeping in touch is easy with texting and FaceTime now. Helps us all keep in contact better
I am celebrating National Siblings Day. My favorite siblings’ photo popped up in my memories on Facebook this morning. You have a lovely family!
Thank you, Alli! You’re so sweet.
I’m celebrating..as an only child 😉 I like your photos! It must have been fun having siblings. I appreciated the silence, and still do.
I had no idea is was National Siblings day this week. Most of my siblings live in our home state, I have one who lives out of state. I would love to visit the Philippines though.
I hope you get to visit my home county someday, Tasheena. 🙂
Wow you guys are definitely spread out all over. We definitely are spread out here too but we are still all in the same country just pretty far away from each other. I always tell my brothers how lucky they are to have a sister like me LOL.
Wow! You are all over the world. That must be fun but I would miss my sister if she were too far away.
I would have loved to grow up with three other siblings! I have one younger brother, but he was not born until I was 12 so for most of my childhood I was an only child. We are close now that we are both adults, but I misses out on growing up with him.
Happy Siblings Day! It is so nice to be able to stay connected with loved ones who are far away.
Wow you guys are spread all over. I live in the same zip code as my sister!
Hello to you and your siblings! We do not celebrate it in here but I still appreciate all my siblings before.
Beautiful family. I have two sisters and we all live far away from each other 🙁 I miss them so much.
My siblings and I don’t really live that far apart. However, conflicting schedules keep us from seeing each other as much as we’d like.
Sibling day is such a fun day to celebrate.
Happy Siblings day! I’ve been lucky to have such a great family and amazing siblings. Love all of your classic pics, they look great.
Happy National Siblings Day. I celebrated by messaging my brother who is in Italy. Love him dearly but so happy he is traveling abroad and enjoying all life has to offer him 🙂 I know you can relate.
What a lovely family! My husband and I are both only children, so we have a small family. It would be nice to have some siblings!
My siblings are spread across the US and I am so grateful to social media and the internet for still allowing us to be a part of each other’s daily lives. It’s a great way to stay connected despite having families and busy lives of our own!
