Let spring break commence!
Spring break starts for our kiddo today and when I asked him on Friday what he wanted to do this week his reply was, “Rest!” I don’t blame him. High school life can be really stressful so, if all he wants to do this week is chill, I’m totally okay with it and will support him all the way.
Besides we don’t usually go anywhere for spring break except for that one time that we visited my friend in Maryland. Also, those times that the hubs and I explored a few must-see places here in the city. Let’s walk down memory lane, shall we?
Getaway to Baltimore
It was in 2012 when a friend of mine who I grew up in the same neighborhood with and went to the same high school in the Philippines invited us to her second child’s Christening. She was working as a nurse in Baltimore at that time, but has moved to Sacramento since then with her family.
We were there for a few days and our first day was spent at the Christening and celebrating. The following day was spent exploring the must-see places in the city. We also visited a battlefield on our way home. I’ve shared them all here before so check them all out below

Must-See Places in Asheville
There are a lot of fun places to visit here in the city and we visited a few of them on spring break a few years ago. Check them all below.
I’ve shared some ideas here for spring break family fun other than traveling just in case you needed them, and I think other than a little spring cleaning for me, we’re going to watch a lot of movies here at home. The kiddo also made a request for chocolate crinkle cookies so, baking will be on my to-do list this spring break as well. Not bad at all.
How about you? Have you had your spring break yet? What’s your idea of spring break adventures?

My grandkids are on spring break this week too. The teen also said he wanted to rest. Baseball season just ended and prom was Saturday night so I know he needs to catch up on sleep.

Sometimes you just need a break. Spring break is a very good time for kids to just sit back and relax. It sounds like you do have a nice restful spring break planned. I definitely would not mind exploring a couple of these places myself.

We did have our spring break already in mid-March. We are earlier here in the Midwest than you I think.

I hope you have a lovely spring break. Sometimes it is nice to just do nothing at all and have a bit of relax. We all need to recoup and revive.

We had a wonderful time in Branson, MO this Spring Break. It was sunny and that was perfect as it’s been raining off and on here during the week.

We used to travel during spring break, but once our kids were in high school, they had too many commitments to leave town. However, it is really nice to have a staycation too. I hope your son enjoys his break.

Resting is important so their body and mind can recuperate. We don’t have Spring break in Catholic School but we do have 3-day Easter break.
