Hope all you Moms out there had a wonderful Mother’s Day celebration.
As always, I was given sweet surprises by my boys who are so good at that. But for a change, we stayed home and just ordered takeout instead of going out to dinner. It was damp outside because of the rain overnight and more rain was coming in the forecast so staying home and watching movies was the ideal way to spend the day.
One of the movies that we watched was on my list of all-time favorite movies. Can you guess what it was? Such a feel-good movie and Hubby was teary-eyed at the end of the movie. Hint: The title of the movie starts with the letter G. 🙂
A LEGO Greeting
Anyway, I guess you already have an idea of who created this very creative and so sweet of a Mother’s Day greeting a few years ago. Yep, my smart and sweet kiddo. He was only 7-years-old when he surprised me with this. And who’s not going to love it? It was definitely the sweetest and brilliant idea ever! He was so into LEGO back then and he definitely nailed it with this.
My World
I’m such a proud Mom of this kind and smart kid. He is the best thing that ever happened to me and it is such a gift to be his Mom.

There are a lot of extra-special ways to celebrate Mother’s Day, and celebrating it doesn’t have to break the bank. Besides, it’s not all about how much money you spend. It’s who you celebrate it with and the simple yet heartwarming ways on how you celebrate it.

How about you? How did you celebrate Mother’s Day?
Alli Smith says
We all went to church together and then my (grown) kids brought lunch to my house. The kids and grandkids all spent the afternoon with my husband and me and we had a beautiful day.

I’m going to guess the movie was Gone with the Wind, as it’s a true classic. Some of life’s simplest pleasures is just ordering out and staying home with the family! Sounds like it was amazing.

Yes, it was amazing! But no, the movie wasn’t Gone with the Wind. Check the link for my all-time favorite movies and you’ll know what it is. 🙂
I am glad you enjoyed your Mother’s Day! I had a relaxing day, which was awesome.
It sounds like you have a lovely mother’s day! It is definitely about those little thing which don’t have to cost a fortune which can sometimes make a day isn’t it.
Exactly, Sarah. It’s the little things. 🙂
Happy Mother’s Day! I didn’t do much for Mother’s Day. It rained pretty much all day so I just relaxed.
Usually, we have a nice Mother’s Day lunch after church, but everyone in our family was either sick or had to work. I spent the day home by myself relaxing.
I am glad you had a happy Mother’s Day. How sweet of your son to surprise you with the Lego greeting. It’s the little things that make for special memories!
We all stayed around the house, cooking and gardening together. It was fun! Then I had to drive to a work meeting. Blah.
My Mom is now staying in Canada with my sister and her family so we didn’t celebrate it much this year. I called her tho and greeted her.
Happy Mother’s Day. It sounds like yours was lovely. The LEGO sign was very creative, great job son!
I know! Thanks, Sara.
I am so glad for you. You have wonderful kids! I stayed home too and watched movies!
Actually, who I call my boys are my husband and son. 🙂
Thank you for the shout out to all Moms…I was taken out by my Uncle but my ex husband couldn’t even utter the words :/
I hope you had a great Mother’s Day this year! I prefer to eat in on Mother’s Day because it is always so crowded if you try to go out. My husband usually cooks dinner for Mother’s Day, which I appreciate.
What a lovely way to celebrate mother’s day. Very sweet. You deserved it.
Thank you, Fatima!
I love the LEGO idea. Such a beautiful greeting for a wonderful mama.
Thank you, Alexandra. You’re so sweet!
Take out and movies sounds like it was an ideal way to spend Mother’s Day! Thoughtful messages like the Lego wishes are the ones that really seem to stand out. Thanks for sharing this part of you with us.
You’re welcome, Dennis. Always happy to share. 🙂
Sounds like you had an amazing Mother’s Day! It’s great being a mom, isn’t it?!!
It sure is! 🙂
I lost my Mom a few years ago to cancer and I don’t have kids so I tend to not celebrate Mother’s Day. I went to Disney instead to distract me! LOL!
What an adorable way to celebrate Mother’s Day! I’m happy for you.
You very lucky to have sweet sons! All your efforts and pains for being a mother has now paid off 🙂
