April showers bring May flowers. We’ve had a quite a rain in April and the current blooms in my garden are my white, red and pink azaleas.
Speaking of April, it went by a little slow for us. I think maybe because of the Spring Break in the middle of the month which we took as our slow-down week. We didn’t do anything other than give our son his much-needed rest and relaxation which was his request. And it was great!
And it’s time for another recap again. Here are all the things that we shared here on the blog last month. You may have missed one or two, so here you go!
Family & Fun
Other than Easter which fell on April this year, my mother-in-law passed away in the early part of April too. I gave her a little tribute to remember her on that day. National Siblings Day also fell in April and for the first time, I shared with you about my siblings who are scattered all over the world.
Our Spring Break always falls during Holy Week. Like I said above, it was a relaxed one for us and it was awesome. Sometimes you really just have to slow it down.
I also shared a Currently post and the hubs is back! Yeah!

Good Food
Food! I love food and other than sharing one of my favorite breakfast meals to prepare, I also shared a meatball recipe that is really delicious. Check them all below.
The Beautiful World We Live In
I always make sure to enjoy the spring blooms. That’s how much I love flowers. Those pink beauties all over the place are a sight to behold. But while I was having all the heart eyes for those blooms, my boys could care less. LOL.
Earth Day also fell in April and I shared the simple things that we do to help protect our beautiful world.
And there you have it?
How was your April?

Sounds like you had a great April. That sunny side up egg sounds absolutely delicious. I might just do that for breakfast.

I love April and I enjoy all the azaleas and dogwood trees in bloom. My tulips were pretty too. I just wish they lasted longer. It’s always a good idea to take some time to slow down and enjoy our beautiful world.

We didn’t get to go on a spring break trip this year. Maybe we will next year! We have had great weather in April.

Our spring break was spent home relaxing as well. I find using these weeks off as time to stay home and rest a very good idea.

My April was good as well. I moved to a new place in the middle of it, committed to being a better blogger/vlogger and vowed to get out more. My city offers so many amazing and often free events and I made sure to get out a little more and spend time with new friends for April. I’m looking forward to May and seeing what it will bring.
Lia says
I usually do not eat sunny side up eggs but that picture is pretty persuasive. I love how you highlight earth day and ways to protect the earth. It should definitely be extended to a week.
Tasheena says
So many beautiful photos! Your April looks pretty epic. Wishing you an amazing May.
Beth says
It seems like you had a great April! Spring is slow to come in our area, but our daffodils are finally blooming, and the trees are beginning to bud.
Theresa says
I’m sorry to hear of the passing of your mother-in-law, but I am sure you had a lovely tribute for her.
My April seemed to lag, so I am thrilled May is finally here. I just hope that when April left, it took the last of the snow with it!

Sounds like you had a pretty good month in April. Ours was alright too. I just wish the weather were better. It’s been cold and raining a lot lately, especially back in April.

This breakfast option looks so nice. I don’t know that I could get it to look so fancy.
