I was browsing through my cellphone photos when I saw these pictures of Bonsai plants. It was a few years ago when I took these photos at the North Carolina Arboretum, but I figured that I haven’t shared them here on the blog yet.
We have visited the North Carolina Arboretum a couple of times before and it is such a beautiful place to explore especially if you love plants. It is located in the southwest of Asheville and is only a few minute drive from where we live.
The North Carolina Arboretum is not only about plants. They also have events and exhibits the whole year through. You may check their website for the calendar of events. They even have a a light show which is called ‘Winter Lights’ during the Holiday season. I have been wanting to see it. Maybe this coming Holiday season. We’ll see.
I have always been fascinated with Bonsai plants. And the number of Bonsai varieties that I saw at the Arboretum was amazing. I have only taken a few pictures, but I saw a lot.
I would like to have one Bonsai although I still have to do a lot of research on how to take care of it. They’re just so adorable for me. Like you have a little tree inside your house. 🙂
Visiting the North Carolina Arboretum is a great idea especially if you have kids. There’s so much to see and learn from their exhibits from which both adults and kids alike would benefit actually.
We also saw huge sculptures made of LEGO pieces which I haven’t shared here yet. We made sure to see that exhibit because our son was a huge fan of LEGO at that time. I will have to do a post about that here soon.
Have you visited an Arboretum before?

Having to experience to take care of a bonsai is great. The treatment and ways to nourish it is a little different. Those are works of art.

Ever since I was a little kid and watched the Karate Kid, I have wanted one of these plants. I would love to learn about how to take care of them and pick some up. Maybe someday I will make the time to do that, so pretty!
