Happy National Donut Day!

Donuts are one of my favorites to snack on. But with all honestly, I don’t indulge in them because it’s not a healthy snack option. I actually can’t remember the last time we bought donuts.
But after learning that today is National Donut Day, I have this urge to buy a box of donuts again. My husband is not a donut fan so if I buy a box, it’s just me and my son who’s going to eat them. I remember sharing a picture of donuts in my Facebook account before and my friend commented that I should watch my diet. LOL. I know, right? But trust me, I don’t buy donuts often. I think it’s safe to say that we only buy donuts once in a blue moon. 🙂
So anyway, I was thinking that there could be a healthy version of donuts somewhere so I searched the world wide web for healthy donut recipes and lo’ and behold…they actually do exist. 🙂
I haven’t tried preparing donuts before, but after reading these recipes, they seem to be easy to prepare. I have baked cookies, brownies and cakes so I think baking these donuts won’t be that hard.

I love the idea of a healthy donut. I do not eat them too often but if they were healtheir it might be an option.

I had not had a donut in probably a year, but I had one yesterday. I did not even know that it was national donut day. I guess that’s why there were so many around the office.

I won’t eat donuts, but my kids eat it. I am afraid of sugar. Yes occasional treat of donuts is ok but not everyday.

I’m not a huge donut fan, but it’s great to eat a decadent one every now and then. Though, I am quite surprised to read about healthy recipes. Worth looking further into for sure.

I am open to trying a healthy donut. I have had to cut out gluten and so I definitely miss them.
