Goodbye, July! Hello, August! Time sure is flying, isn’t it? I was just talking about Christmas in July and now here we are, starting August already. But I did enjoy the Christmas movies to the fullest. And before we know it, the most wonderful time of the year will be here. Woot!
Okay, so before I get carried away some more about the Holidays, let’s head on to the recap and see what you may have missed here on the blog last month.
If you have been visiting our blog, you already know that we share about family, fun, food, travel and entertainment here on our small space in the internet. This is a personal blog and we share all the things that we enjoy.

Home & Garden
I love my flower garden and I have shared what I have in my garden a few times here before. Last month, I shared the beauty of my purple Irises.
I Love Food
Summer equals firing up the grill. We love to grill and our most favorite to grill is steak. Who doesn’t love steak? I scoured the web for some delicious grilled steak and shared them here.
Celebration
The 50th celebration of the manned landing on the moon, Apollo 11, sure was a big deal. Hubby witnessed it all on the TV in 1969 with his Mom. I wasn’t born yet back then, but I have seen it all, thanks to Television and the records that they kept all these years.
And that’s it!
How was your July? I hope it was wonderful!

I can’t believe it is August either. This year has flown by so quickly. August is my birthday month and the kids go back to school very soon. The relaxed summer schedule will soon be a thing of the past but I do look forward to the structure that comes with back to school.
It sounds like you had a busy month. We moved in June and I hope to be able to plant some flowers next year. Being that we were in the middle of summer, planting flowers was out of the question because of the heat. But come spring, I’m hoping to have the opportunity to get outside and make the yard look beter. My yard has been neglected for years but it is too late in the season to mess with it.

I can’t believe it’s August either. School starts for us in a week…a week, I can’t believe it! Time sure is flying, the holidays will be here before I know it.

I honestly can’t believe that July has been and gone! It seems like you had a great month with so much going on! I am going to have to look back at all your book reads.

This summer is really going by too quickly! I just dug up some beautiful purple irises from my mom’s house. Now I need to figure out where to plant them in my yard.
