Having a school routine is very important to me because in that way we all can manage our time during school days wisely. I need that ample time in the morning to grab my cup of coffee and prepare my son’s breakfast before we head out the door to go to school.
I totally agree that breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it is the meal that gives you the energy that you need to go through your day. That being said, I make sure that my son doesn’t skip breakfast ever.
Knowing my son, he could eat bacon and egg every single day, but I don’t want him to be eating the same thing over and over again. So, I scoured the net for kid approved breakfast ideas. My son can be picky, but these are the breakfast meals that I knew he would really enjoy.
1) The Best Classic French Toast
He requested for a good classic French toast and I think I found the right one.
2) Ham and Cheese Frittata Muffins
He loves cheese and these muffins looked yummy.
3) Banana Chocolate Chip Baked Oatmeal Cups
He is a chocoholic like me so this was great.
4) Homemade No-Bake Granola Bars
We love a good bar, but never tried homemade ones.
5) Egg Muffins with Sausage, Cheddar and Onion
My son has been telling me about wanting muffins for breakfast and I think this is a good recipe.
6) Coconut Carrot Muffins
I think this is a clever way to hide the carrots.
7) Blackberry Pancakes
I have to include our favorite pancakes on the list. Please excuse the odd shape. Things happen. LOL.
8) Ham and Egg Omelet Cups
What a clever idea to use ham as cup.
9) Bacon Spinach Breakfast Frittata Muffins
My son doesn’t eat spinach so I think it’s either I’m going to make this without the spinach or hide the spinach right in the middle.
10) Kielbasa, Potato and Onion Scrambled Eggs
We enjoy kielbasa over here, but never tried it prepared like this.
Writing this and seeing all these pictures is making me hungry. 🙂
How about you? Any kid approved breakfast ideas you want to share with me?

These breakfasts make my cold cereal a very weak excuse for breakfast. I know I should do better but these ideas will have to be saved for wekends when there is more time.

Breakfast can be tough in our house. Mornings are hectic and it is a challenge to get everyone fed and out the door. Thanks for sharing these!

Must be challenging to have kids’ approval if it isn’t sweet. I think they’ll love the ideas. The cookie looks awesome!

OK I am totally up for having any of these ideas for breakfast – they all look totally delicious – but hands up I could kick off with that cookie..

The french toast looks so yummy. It has been so long since I’ve made any and it never looks as pretty as your photo. 🙂 I’m going to have to make it for dinner one night. None of us are huge breakfast eaters but if the boys are hungry, they usually eat at school.
I love the idea of making homemade granola bars too.

My kids are so picky with breakfast. I am going to attempt to try to get them to change things up from just cereal and oatmeal

My kids love everything that you mentioned above! I think their favorite is french toast.

Yum, my kids would love any of these. We normally do Pop Tarts though since I’m NOT a morning person. So if they want any of these, they need to cook it themselves, ha. I’d be all about those blackberry pancakes!
