Georgia is our neighboring state and it only take us a couple of hours to reach the state line on a road trip. We have seen quite a few places in this peach state and I know there are many more things to see.
I hope we get to explore more of Georgia in the future, but for now let me share with you the beautiful places in Georgia that we have visited and explored.
1) Atlanta
The home city of a MLB team, the Atlanta Braves, this is the first city that we have explored after watching a game of course. Ironically, this city was my port of entry to America when the Hubs brought me here to marry me, so my first steps in my new home country were taken in Atlanta after arriving at their huge international airport. But the Hubs, being an avid Atlanta Braves fan, made sure to take us to a ball game and oh boy, was it exciting to see MLB up close and personal. But there is more than Major League Baseball in Atlanta; sharing them all on the links below. Check ’em all out!

2) Toccoa
Toccoa is special to my husband’s parents and the Hubs had been wanting to go there. Finally, we got the opportunity to go one Memorial Day weekend a few years ago and enjoyed the beauty of Toccoa Falls.
3) Covington
Covington is such a charming small town and its charm has captivated many, including me, after it was chosen as the film location for the hit TV show, The Vampire Diaries, which I enjoyed watching. And that’s why I put it on my bucket list of places to visit.
4) Savannah
My in-laws had been to this city many times before and they loved it. As my SIL puts it, Savannah is beautiful and rich in history. And she was so right.
5) Tybee Island
Tybee Island is more or less a half an hour drive from Savannah. My SIL recommended visiting the place too so, we did.
Have you been to Georgia? What are the places that you want to add on the list?

My daughter’s name is Georgia (she was named after my Greek grandmother). But sadly neither she nor I have actually been to Georgia. I can’t wait to explore! There’s a ton of history, plus it looks gorgeous.
