Hello September…my birth month. It was a wonderful birthday for me with a sumptuous dinner at our favorite seafood restaurant. And soon, I am going to embark on something which I am so excited about, but anxious at the same time. I sure will share more about that big leap here on the blog soon.
This was my view while I was waiting for the Hubs in a parking lot somewhere in the south of the city. He was taking care of business and I decided to just wait in the car and enjoy this view on such a glorious hot summer day. Those flowers are lovely.
Listening…
To…Living by Dierks Bentley.
If you have been reading my ‘Currently’ post, you ought to know by now that I love country music, other than the 80’s music I thrive on. Those are the only music eras and genres that I listen to. Nothing more, nothing less.
I am loving this Dierks Bentley song lately. Read part of the song lyrics that I have included below the video.
When we visited Nashville a few years ago, we came across a store on Broadway with all things Dierks Bentley in it. See my son enjoying the red couch inside the store? Such cool stuff in that store.
“Some days you start singin’
And you don’t need a reason
Sometimes the world’s just right
Your clear eyes ain’t even blinkin’
Got a heart full of grateful
For all you’ve been given
Some days you just get by
Yeah some days you’re just alive
Some days you’re livin’ …”
Watching…
Filipino Films on Netflix.
It was earlier this year, if I’m not mistaken, when I found out about the Filipino Films on Netflix. No one told me. I was just checking for new movies to watch when I saw the Filipino Films which was much to my delight. I have already seen a lot of the films since then, but I still have more to watch. Thank you, Netflix for that.
Wearing…
Long-Sleeve Tee in the Morning.
The mornings are starting to get chilly now so a long-sleeve tee it is when I take my son to school. But summer is still in full swing because the heat is still on by mid-day. So, still short-sleeve tees and shorts the rest of the day.
Eating…
Seafood Galore.
So thankful about the Asian Market because we get to indulge in seafood. From fishes to squid to shrimps. Yum! We only go to the Asian Market every two weeks, though and buy all the seafood that they have then indulge in it in a week’s time. Have you tried my crispy fried calamari yet?
Looking Forward To…
My favorite season…FALL!
I shared about the 15 things that I love about fall, but the beautiful foliage is the first thing that I am so looking forward to seeing. Then the pumpkin spice everything. I hope they have my favorite pumpkin cheesecake shake this year. I’m keeping my fingers crossed because they didn’t have it last year.
How about you? Any ‘Currently’ you want to share?

Happy Birthday! I’ve been baking fall desserts for the blog and for the family. So it seems like fall even though it’s still really hot here in SC.

Thank you, Alli!
It looks like your September is going amazing so far. I’m currently enjoying the warm weather we’re having.
There is something about seafood isn’t there? I have to admit I do love a good seafood platter. Autumn has to be one of my favourite times of the year, I love the colours.
Thanks for sharing that song I am not a typical country fan but this one was a fun one. My son loves seafood so I know he would have loved all that food.
I am so ready for the Fall as well! I’m in Texas, so I need cooler temps. It’ll eventually go down the 70s, which is cool for Texas in the fall.
I love seafood too. I enjoy pretty much all kinds of seafood, especially shrimp, crab cakes, and salmon. I would love to visit this market!
I am so looking forward for Fall, too! IT is such a wonderful season. I hope you are having a great September so far!
Happy Birthday to you. I love this month as well. Cool mornings and great sunny days.
Thank you, Bonnie!
I love calamari! I actually just ate some last night. I have always enjoyed it.
I’ve never heard this song before, but wow….it may have just become a favourite!!! I really like Dierks’ music so this was a real treat!
I hope you have the most spectacular Birthday! Wishing you every joy on your special day and for each day that follows!
You’re so sweet. Thank you, Pamela!
Happy Birthday! September is one of my favorite times of the year. I hope you have a great birthday month!
Thank you, Beth!
I adore fall, too. I am loving the cool, crisp mornings and the warm sunny days. I can’t wait until I can wear my long-sleeved tees all day long!
I won’t be surprised that Filipino movies are top notch. Seems that you’re thrilled watching them same as I. Happy birth month!
Fall is also my favorite season. I have been eyeing the selection of long sleeved t’s at walmart.
I love the same genres of music. My daughter when to a Dierks Bently concert last summer and had a blast.
Fall for me is my absolute favorite. Everything about it and since our summer ran longer, I’m finding it hard to transition. But, I’ll get there!
I am currently getting ready for my birthday. I cannot wait to see what my family has planned for me!
That’s exciting! May you have a wonderful birthday.:)
Oh well now I’m going to go check out that song! It sounds so good. I love that you really enjoy all the things.
I love fall! What a great month, and it sounds like you are enjoying your September. I love the weather!
