This is not a sponsored post. I just thought of sharing this because I was really delighted about this food that I had the other day. I have never had this before and although I was excited to give it a try, I was also anxious about what it would taste like.
My hometown is known as the Tuna Capital of the Philippines. Needless to say, Tuna is abundant there. And I love Tuna. We cook it in a lot of different ways, but I also have this favorite where we eat it raw and dip it in sauce with Wasabi in it. It is a little spicy, but so good.
Tuna Salad with Cracker
I have never had tuna salad with cracker before, and I was really surprised of how this tasted. The salad was a little sweet, but really delicious. I had a little of the Tuna out of the can first before I put some on the cracker.
Snack On the Run
This is called Snack On the Run, but I had it for dinner, thus, I titled this post, Dinner On the Run. It makes sense, right? 🙂
So, how did this came to be? We were in a hotel and I was tired from the trip and didn’t want to go down to the restaurant to eat a real dinner. Hubby did stuff his face with what the hotel had to offer, but I preferred to just stay in the room with my son. My son already had a burger so, he was okay.
After the Hubs had his dinner, he went to the hotel’s Market and check what they had while telling me over on the phone. He saw this and asked me if I want to try it. And without second thoughts, I said yes! And I’m glad I did try it. It was definitely a delightful snack, or dinner, for me. I shared a photo with my sister and she was like, “Is that enough dinner for you?” Surprisingly, it was. 🙂
Have you had this before?
Happy Foodie Friday and have a great weekend!

I’ve always loved tuna on a cracker. For some reason, it always tasted better than on bread.

I am literally running from morning until night so something like this would be perfect for me. I’m going to have to grab a couple of these for my days in the car.

What a neat way to eat dinner on the run. I haven’t tried tuna on crackers yet, but I know many people who love that concept. I guess it’s worth a try 😉

I didn’t know Gensan was the Tuna Capital of the Philippines. My parents are from the Philippines (my father is from Baliwag!).

It is the Tuna Capital. 😊 I hope you get to visit Gensan in the future and enjoy some fresh tuna.
I love tuna salad on crackers, it is my favorite way to eat tuna salad. I am not sure I have ever had fresh tuna, but I’ve heard it is delicious.
Super! For me, fresh is always better. 🙂
I haven’t seen this Snack on the Run, but it sounds like a great option for a quick and delicious meal idea. I’d love to go to Philippines and have some fresh tuna dishes some day!
I hope you get to visit the Philippines someday, Theresa. I ber you’d love the fresh tuna. 😊
I like tuna but I’m not a huge mayo fan unless it is light. Too much isn’t tasty to me. As long as the mayo was light, I would enjoy this snack on the run too. It’s perfect packing in a backpack or lunchbox.
I did! I love the saltiness of crackers and the flavor of anything on it. I especially like tuna, cheese or chocolate ha!
