Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Ours was chill, but that was just what we needed after that exciting and wonderful event last week. Hubby wrote about it, but if you missed it, don’t worry. I’d be glad to share them again so read more. 🙂
Downtown Asheville
A few things that the Hubs needed to get taken care of took us to downtown a few times last week. I don’t mind going downtown at all especially if he’s the driver because I can sightsee and people watch.
It was perfect timing when we got caught at a red light on this part of Woodfin Street because I have always wanted to take pictures of those teeny tiny doors. I have seen them many times before while driving through this road and also on Instagram shared by individuals who were also delighted by this work of art. They are a foot or a foot and a half tall and there are more doors up on the hill. Are those fairy doors or elf doors, perhaps? Or maybe both.
If you happen to visit Asheville, make sure you look for those tiny doors if seeing delightful things is on your agenda.
New U.S. Citizen
Last week, I took the oath and became a citizen of the United States. My dear husband who took this picture and supported me 101% all the way wrote about that monumental event on Wednesday entitled, God Bless the U.S.A which was also the title of the song that was played during the ceremony.
I fell in love with that song and have been singing it since that time. I think my husband and son are already tired of listening to me singing that song over and over again while playing the video. I can’t help it. I’m still on cloud 9 and that song is sure a beautiful one.
Oh, and the guy who officiated the ceremony told us to use the hashtag #newUScitizen so, I used it on my social media channels last week.
Still enjoying some pumpkin goodies from Trader Joe’s and I’m almost out so visiting that adorable store would be on the to-do list this week.
How about you? How was the week for you?

Congratulations on your citizenship! And those fairy doors are so cute
Thank you! 😊
Congratulations again on becoming a citizen! I love Trader’s Joes! My favorite things to get from there is the Orange Chicken, Corn Salsa and Lava Cakes.
Thank you! 😊
The little fairy doors are super cute. I’d love to find some around town but like you, I don’t care to go downtown. There is just too much traffic to get there and parking is usually far away from the places that I want to go to. So I usually, seek out going to places closer to home.
Congrats on being a citizen, I hope you can now enjoy all the “perks” such as not having to worry about a new green card every 10 years.
Thank you, Monica. Yup, no more worries about it. 😊
I have a picture of those doors in downtown Asheville as well! It’s such a fun city to visit.
How exciting! Sounds like you had a wonderful week – congrats on becoming a citizen!
Thank you, Marysa! 😊
